  1. I feel the same. I was 7 weeks post op wednesday and I have just now hit 30 lbs. I thought that would happen the first month. I do exactly what I was told. I'm confused and frustrated.

    Discouraged ...

I am 6.5 weeks and have lost 27. I feel discouraged too. So many others have lost more. I didn't start with a low bmi. I get all many Protein & Water. I don't do carbs. I don't cheat. You always hear how its simple calories in vs calories out. I call BS!

    April 2013 Post-Op Group

All of the calcium chews are high seem high in calories...should this be a concern?

    What ya eating tonight?

I haven't had anything disagree either. Although I stick to basics as well...greek yogurt, string cheese, turkey lunchmeat, tuna, fish...a few bites of vegetables. I have had a little bit of chicken and ground turkey...and a few eggs. So far so good. My only problem seems to be the scale moving slowly!

Yep...are any of you in Sacramento?
  7. Besides the initial pain from the incisions, I don't feel any different. I'm afraid I'll forget I had the surgery & just ready something without thinking about it. I had pain for about a week and a half. I only took pain meds the first 3 days or so. (I also had my gallbladder removed) Obviously I get full quickly & I'm never really HUNGRY. I didn't have any nausea. Of course, everyone is different. This was my first time having surgery and I was scared to death!

    Working It Out

I did weight (machines) at the gym today for the first time and felt good. I'm 5.5 weeks.

    Bathing and swimming

My post-op instructions said 2 weeks. I went swimming sweet about 2 1/2 weeks. I think you will be fine as long as your incisions are healed.

    when was everyones first stall?

I don't think going a few days without a loss ia a stall. Our bodies fluctuate daily. If you were to weigh once a week & aren't kidding anything...that would be a stall.

    when was everyones first stall?

    I stalled 2 weeks post op...lasted 2 weeks.
  13. Try replacing 1-2 meals per day with a protein shake and cut out carbs. That is how I met my surgery goal weight. I lost about 25 lbs in 3mos.

    Carbs

I am 5 weeks out and have lost 21 lbs...I was also on a 2 week stall and I don't eat carbs! LOL.

    Eating Schedule

I eat 3x a day...was told not to snack. Breakfast: dannon light & fit greek yogurt. Lunch: 2 oz turkey lunchmeat & 1 oz cheeze Dinner: 2 oz tilapia/2 small pcs broccoli. I still need 1 Protein shake (30g) per day to supplement so I drink that at some point between meals.

    What ya eating tonight?

I ate 2 oz of tilapia and a few briccoli crowns...then I decided to take 1 bite of KFC mashed potatoes & gravy. Well..my tummy didn't like something about that. I immediately felt like something was stuck on my throat and felt like vomiting. Ugh. That was the first time I have felt sick. I didn't eat fast...maybe too much?
  17. I can have it at 6 weeks.

    Food Diaries/Logs

I use myfitnesspal as well. I like knowing exactly how many calories & Protein I have used each day. I also track my Water, exercise & measurements. I have used it intermittently before but I have been using it faithfully since I started the program in February. The only other times I have tracked was when doing weight watchers and I was more consistent in more recent years when the mobile apps became available.

    Soft Foods

Turkey/chicken lunchmeat is on my list. I have been having that with some string cheese for lunch.
  20. My 1st was 1 week post op. I now have one once a week....maybe 2x...and it isn't much. Sometimes I feel like I need to but when I have tried MOM I still didn't get much of a result. I guess there just isn't a lot there. Lol

    What ya eating tonight?

First try dining out...went to Chili's and had the mango chili tilapia w/ steamed broccoli (no rice) I had maybe 2 oz fish (guesstimate) and 1 1/2 pc broccoli (1st veggie in a month!) So far so good. I kind of wished I had a portable scale.
