Surgery next week and im FREAKING OUT!

I have a five year old too and I keep reminding myself she is a big reason why I am doing this. Keep trying to look 3-5-10-20 years out. I can't wait to walk her down the isle. My surgery is Tuesday and I am nervous but I keep thinking about what this will allow me to do. -

Wow, it is officially real. Just got a call from the hospital . I report on Tuesday at 10:30... surgery is at 1:30.

I just got back from my last pre-op appointment. All is looking good to go for next week. I have lost 18lbs since my PCP appointment last week. This pre-op diet is for real.

ha...my last consult is tomorrow too. We are almost there.

Three protein drinks a day plus clear liquids with no calories - I am getting about 75 grams of protein a day and about 475 calories

1 week to go!!! 7 days of liquids is getting old but I know its worth it.

I would rather get up 30 times when sore and tired than have a catheter... I have had to pee bad before but waited three hours to have home court advantage -

This is what I most dread about my surgery. I have my final pre-op meeting with my surgeon on Wednesday and I am going to try to negotiate the catheter being in and out while I am knocked out. I will walk out of the OR after the surgery if they let me wake up with out that. -

I just got a call from my insurance and after being originally denied due to the surgery scheduler not sending everything in, I have now been APPROVED!!!!! July 23rd is my scheduled date and I had already started the liquid diet and am on day 3 of that. I am doing the fat man celebration dance!!- 18 replies
