The wheat thins reduced fat and home made plain yogurt is my thing. I hate food this week. Looking at a plate of food literally made me gag yesterday

I got mine four days out of surgery was ten days early. Doc said bc of hormone changes in the body

Okay I just found a protein bar my doctor approved. And it tastes good. It's called think thin it has 20 G protein and 0 g sugar it's creamy so when u chew it it goes down "soft". Oh the things we'll do. I got it at bed bath and beyond its 1.69 a bar but I'm going to do some research on where to get it cheaper. It's worth it. I just had half of one and feel full. It was like eating a candy bar.

I am doing alright so far. I am forgetting my vitamins but its just something I have to work on a routine for. Sometimes I feel hungry or what I used to think was hungry and I try and drink. I'm finally able to walk/exercise, the infection set me back a bit.

I am two weeks too. My doc moved me to soft foods a few days ago. How are you both doing food wise?

Yea he put me on levofloxacin. Idk I trust him so I just have to keep up with he knows best. I had an appt for today he had me change to tomorrow.

Pebulz he numbed it locally slit open the incision site and drained it. Then he packed it and covered it up. I go back to see him Friday morning. And he just said if it soaks thru to change the top layer. I will have to do that tomorrow. I was wondering about that too and asked him if he sows me back up and he said no that it just kinda binds back together! Idk! I am very quesy so I just kinda want it to go away lol. Just glad I'm not leaking all over the place anymore. Good luck.

Krystal the way I see it you have to have a good sense of humor to deal with the roller-coaster of life. so the infection he said came from the stapler that sometimes it happens bc it goes in and out of the intenstine. Anyways they drained a lot for me and I'm back home patched up and still draining but the pain is almost gone. The leak has been plugged!

Yes that's exactly what it was and your right. Allll the pain I thought was muscle pain was actually the infection. I feel much better now.

Well I'm 9 days out and 10 lbs down. Doing great with liquid intake not so great on the vitamins. Just forgetting them is all. Ill get on track. I'm at an emergency appt wit my surgeon at the moment bc my major incision sprouted a leak last nite. ( I need to find the humor in it ) I didn't have a drain or anything after surgery so not sure what he will do now. Still waiting and leaking

That's why I dilute it in water. It's not that bad.

Hey I tried some whey protein watermelon flavored from Walmart. I just split it in 2 bottles of water. It's amazing ESP if its super cold.

They gave me meds for that cuz I have a hard time coming from anesthesia. I was knocked out all day. And even tho they tell me I can lay on my sides. I am know taking pain meds bc of laying on my sides lol. I knew it had to be too good not be true

Well I'm on the losers bench now. Pain after was the worst part but that seems To have gone away and nurses say I can sleep on my sides. Ill take that! Good luck to everyone going in tomorrow.

They are awesome. So tasty and filling an dirt cheap. I have 3 big boxes of the name brand ones I haven't touched since I bought these. Surgery is on Monday so I'm on all clear liquids, sf jello and Popsicles til then. Thanks again

I just wanted to say thank you to whomever made the suggestion about the Popsicles at Walmart. They are amazing and $2 for a bag of 12.
