An eagles fan? Is the grass green?! I didn't think you were allowed to live in the area and not be an eagles fan!

I live near charlotte North Carolina, however I am originally from outside Philadelphia too RJ! I'm from bucks county. I am a teacher and not only am I gearing up for the new school year, I am at a new school this year. I'm actually looking forward to people not knowing that I lost a lot of weight. At my old school it began to get a little annoying because people wouldn't stop talking about it. So now I'm no longer the "use to be fat girl." My highest weight was 370 and my current weight is 182. I feel great, but I have definitely begun feeling hunger and I'm able to eat more now. I'm starting to want to snack, so I have to make it healthy snacks! A lot has changed in my life for the better and I look forward to it continuing to go well! Thanks everyone for your continued support!

My brother and his wife recently got me a very generous gift card to a clothing store since they know I have to buy all new clothes. I went on a bit of a spree and unlike before surgery I loved every minute of it, especially in the fitting room. Before I would be in tears because nothing fit and this time I was in tears of joy at the size I was. I have gone from a 3x/28 to a M/8!!!! I can't believe it!! I had to document the experience with a picture! -
Today is my surgeversary!! I can't believe how far I have come in a year. Literally what a difference a year makes. I have lost 182 lbs from the start of my journey, I feel amazing, I have met the love of my life and we are moving in together and hopefully a proposal soon to follow! Life is really great right now and I NEVER want to go back to where I was. Thank you to all of you for your words of encouragement, advice, and support; it means the world to me! I'm so proud of all of us!!

I am wearing a size small dress today!! I am shocked! I never imagined I would fit in a large or medium, let alone a small! -
I leave for vacation this time next week, so I'm going to have to be careful not to go back over the 200 mark!

Hey junies! I have been MIA for a while, just living life. A lot of great things are happening in my life and I had to share the most recent success with you all because I know you will understand my joy. Today I FINALLY reached onederland!! The last pound took forever! I still have about 25lbs to lose, but this is a big milestone in sure you all can relate to! I hope everyone is doing great!! HW 370 SW 330 CW 199

I am having the same struggles now too. The weight isn't just falling off as easily and I've definitely hit a stall. It is hard now that I can eat more and I can see how easy it is to fall back in to those bad habits. We just need to continue to eat healthy protein and workout. I'm working on increasing this to see if that helps. I also have about 50 more pounds to lose and these will probably be the hardest 50 to lose!

Went in for my 6 month post op with the surgeon and they are very impressed. My NSV while there is that I have graduated to the normal size blood pressure cuff! Amazing how those little things mean so much to us! -
I am curious to see how much in volume you all can eat per meal now and around how many calories you consume a day. I've noticed an increase and I know that's probably normal, but I don't want to over eat.
-
Thanks! I feel amazing!

Well, yesterday was my 6 month mark since surgery, so I figured I should post some new pictures. I hope everyone is as happy with their new bodies as I am (even though certainly not perfect)!

Merry Christmas everyone! Enjoy your families and remember where we were last year and how thankful I know we all are for our new lives!

Please tell me what you eat?

Philadelphia now makes 2x the protein cream cheese. It is great! -
I had a big milestone today...I have officially lost 101 lbs since surgery! That makes 140 lbs from my highest weight! Life is really starting to fall in place for me and I am happier than I've ever been. I hope everyone is having the same positive results from surgery, and not just in weight lost, but in all our non-scale victories too!

This weekend my boyfriend and I went Christmas tree shopping and I was freezing and forgot my coat, so he gave me his and it was too big on me. I was swimming in it. I've never been able to wear a guy's shirt or sweater and have it be big on me! -

After surgery I have much more confidence to start dating again and I have since started dating a great guy. Today I realized as he laid his hand on my leg how little my leg looked compared to his big man hands! I am not use to that feeling of being appropriately smaller than the man I'm dating and it is a wonderful feeling!! -
I think it's perfectly fine to indulge a bit. I had pumpkin pie too! But I had the tiniest sliver, which is a lot less than I use to eat. Now that we are well out from surgery I think it's all about learning how to live and eat in moderation. I enjoyed my thanksgiving and I ate more than I typically do since surgery, but I'm not going to punish myself with just protein shakes. I still ate probably thousands of calories less than I use to and tomorrow I will get back to my normal eating. We can't beat ourselves up. That is a habit we need to break because it could lead to other bad habits. So don't worry! Live and be happy and just get back on track tomorrow!

Happy thanksgiving everyone! I know this day of gorging will be different for us, but if you feel as good about yourself as I do, losing out on not eating isn't even an issue. I saw my parents for the first time since surgery and their reaction to my new look brought tears to my eyes! We have so much to be thankful for. Here is my list: 1. An amazing family that has supported me in this journey more than I ever imagined. 2. A new lease on life and a positive outlook for once. 3. Feeling more energized and healthier. I never thought this would happen. 4. Having had a smooth journey and recovery. I know not everyone has had an easy RNY experience that I have and I pray they recover quickly! 5. The new relationships I'm forming with my new found confidence!

Is anyone else noticing their weight loss slowing down? I use to average a loss of about 4lbs a week and now I'm at 2lbs. I know it's still good that I'm losing, but it makes me feel like I've done something wrong. I continue to exercise, I upped my calories and protein since that has helped when I stalled in the past, but it is frustrating. It makes me scared that I will be done losing soon and I still have 98lbs to go before I'm at my goal weight. Any suggestions?
-
I think we can all relate to this. It is a hard adjustment for us physically and psychologically. I hope it won't be too long before our minds can catch up with our bodies. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will see the skinny you eventually! At least that's what I'm telling myself!

I went on an 8 mile hike today, which never would have happened before surgery. Granted I'm very sore, but happy I did it! -
Seems to be working today, except I had to re-subscribe to this thread.
