    What ya eating tonight?

Tilapia was my 'safe' food. I feel betrayed. Lol It was my own fault though. I'm starting to feel a little better but still gurgling a little in the back of my throat.

    What ya eating tonight?

Still not coming up. Guess I'm not a puker. For the first time in my life that seems like a bad thing. I'd better be more careful.

Pray for a scope this week

I'm glad you finally got the treatment you needed. You'll be feeling better soon.

    What? Sugar Free Oreos?

Wise advice. The idea is to change bad habits. We need to learn to eat healthier options, not replace old favorites with items that are similar in looks and taste. Try some treat that is totally different - healthy but delectable. Sliced fruit of your choice, topped with or dipped in ff cool whip or light whipped cream. Sliced berries in sf Jello with a dab of lite cool whip (I used to make this in a pie shell for my family but it's just as good in a pretty wine glass).

    What ya eating tonight?

How do you get it up? Tonight I overcooked my tilapia and foolishly ate some anyway. Then comes the pain and nausea! I burp and gag but nothing comes up but gobs of bubbly saliva. If I could only throw it up I'm sure I'll feel better. Even sticking my fingers down my throat won't do it. Suffering through it... :-(

    quick question.

I didn't but was told it was a possibility. Also possible to have blood in your first bm. This is because the surgery involves your stomach and intestines so it's possible and normal to see blood initially. But they did say the blood should not look bright red (more of a maroon or darker). Bright red could be an indication of internal bleeding, especially if it's beyond the first day or two. Talk to your doctor. He/she should be your first source of info. They also know your particular history.
  7. Loved the surgical glue! No visible stitches to itch and catch on clothing. :-) the incisions heal nice and cleanly, and quickly, too! :-)

    Itching

When was your surgery? A few days after my surgery I started to develope a rash on my belly just below my incisions. The rash quickly got worse and spread over my whole lower belly. It seemed primarily to be on the bruising I had after surgery. While it was primarily on my belly initially, it spread to my thighs, upper arms and lower back. The itching was terrible, so terrible that I couldn't sleep or wear clothes that touched it. I saw the PA twice, then the surgeon, then a dermatologist. The general opinion was that it seemed to an allergic reaction but no one knew from what. I filled three different prescriptions for creams that only made it worse. Finally I just went to Walmart and bought some Benedryl cream and some liquid Benedryl. Those two combined at least offered some relief from the itching. The rash ran it's course and began to fade away by the third week. If not for that rash my recovery would have been a piece of cake!

    Things I will not miss...

That's me, too! There are no pictures of me with my family over the years. I am always behind the camera and no one ever knew why.

    dumping

I'm know it was an unpleasant experience, but it sure is funny the way you told it! Lol
  11. I've been trying on the clothes in my closet and I've weeded out a bunch of them. I'll be happy to give them away to anyone who might get some use out of them. I have summer tops - a few 2X, a bunch of 1X, and some slacks in 22W and 20W. Some things are new, with tags. I am short, so the slacks won't help anyone who is tall. I'm in southeastern RI near the southeastern MA border and can get them to anyone in this area. Message me if you're interested.

    Things I will not miss...

I will not miss the bag of clothes I'm getting rid of this week. I will not miss my boobs resting under my neck when I lay down. I will not miss the glimpse of that big woman in a window reflection. The one that makes you do a double-take and think with dismay "Oh my goodness, is that REALLY ME?" I will not miss being too exhausted to do anything after work. I will not miss the sag on my side of the couch from my big butt sitting there night after night after night. In fact, this time next year I plan to be sitting on a new couch that is not sagging down on one side (and I plan to be sitting on it a lot less!) I will not miss sugar. It was sweet but evil stuff that never did me any good. There will be many more things "I will not miss" in the future. :-)

    Clothes up for grabs

It feels so good to have to get rid of them. It's a great way for someone else to end up with a cheap alternative to buying as they lose weight. If I have no takers on this batch by Wednesday (my day off) I'll just drop them in the nearest donation box. I'll keep putting the offer out there as I lose and Ned to get rid of more things. I have group Wednesday night. Maybe, instead of putting them in the donation box, I should bring them with me and see if anyone there is interested...

Dorian! How are you? And how is your son? Is he fully recovered?

    What ya eating tonight?

"Nut" butter!!! Not "but" butter!! Damn auto correct! :-)

    skin breakout

I haven't had breakouts since 1985. I'm having them now. I have very sensitive skin that reacts to everything except olay bar soap. I can't even wear makeup. Anything else turns me beet red for two weeks. I think I'll have to suck it up and endure it, but how long does it last?

    What ya eating tonight?

Sounds awesome! I wonder if you can substitute PB2 for the but butter?

    just a few questions

My daily food schedule is much like Rem's, except I only get three meals and one snack. My nutritionist told me that if I felt the need to, I could eat six small evenly spaced meals instead of the three plus snack. I do this if I am out and about all day. I pack my little meals in an insulated lunch bag so I always have something healthy I can tolerate. :-)
  20. I'm at 5 weeks and feel fine. I would go on vacation in a heartbeat. How is your health since surgery? No complications or issues? Eating well and staying hydrated? If so you should be fine, but definitely check with your doctor first.

    Embarrasing :(

Definitely an issue to bring up with the manager. If it's a chain store I'd bring it to the corporate office, too. With today's economy no business can afford to lose customers and they would have lost me for sure, along with my friends and family. And I'd definitely perdue the discrimination issue - no business wants to deal with a mess like that. You'd be helping to prevent anyone else to be embarrassed in that way in the future. At the very least that guy needs some retraining and sensitivity training.
