  1. My week three was like that too but I just kept focusing on my Protein intake and the weight started coming off again. Each time I got to a new phase of food, from liquids to solids, I hit a little plateau. Don't feel discouraged. Just stick with it and it will pass.

    Pen Pal Goodie Boxes?

I just got home from a super stressful trip and had a wonderful care package waiting for me from my pen pal. It was such an awesome surprise and everything in it was amazing. It was a much needed boost to my spirits.
  3. My dietician said no starchy carbs (bread, chips, crackers, potatoes) until I reach my goal weight since the can slow weight loss. I'm sure having crackers as a snack isn't going to bring things to a complete halt and it's just a little plateau while you adjust to solids. But if it continues it might be something you want to consider.

    Pen Pal Goodie Boxes?

Carol.lynne.ralls@gmail.com. I love this idea and this community. I'm still pretty new but I just hit my one week post op mark and y'all have helped me so much.
  6. I'm 23 and had my surgery on February 28th so I am very early in the process. I would love to have some connections in my age range.
  7. Walk around as soon as you feel up to it. Walking around will get thing moving and help release the pain. Also don't get discouraged if it takes some time to pass. I could get the gas pains to go away and pass gas until I was able to start taking liquids but walking around relieved the discomfort a lot.
  8. You won't feel hungry post surgery so while mentally you might think about them because you feel satisfied with what you have it's a lot easier to say no. Plus I've heard once you've had one dumping experience with a food you avoid it like the plague. So even if down the line you do slip up it's easy to get back on track.
  9. It is hard but try not to worry. I don't feel deprived or run down. You just try and make the next day better and each day does get a little easier.
  10. Whew thank you. I was getting frustrated that I wasn't hitting those numbers.

    I got approved!

Woohoo! Congrats!! It's such an exciting feeling. I suggest writing down how you feel today and why you want this so you can always remember it if things get hard before and after surgery.
  12. Did any one else have a hard time getting in the Water and Protein they needed to post op? I keep saying I'm going to drink my three Protein drinks but I get half way through one and I'm full. I drink water throughout the day but it's not the 50ox they want me getting It's like I don't have enough hours in the day to get all the nutrients I need. I tried using the unjury unflavored protein in my other foods but I can't stomach the taste.
