March 2013 Post Op "A New Life 2013"
cranialmalady replied to ElleG's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just wanted to check in with my March surgery family. I'm doing great....feeling healthy. I work out a lot, but I'm at an almost 2 month stall. I'm down to 158 and started at 228, so no complaints here. I'd like to get to 130 at some point. I hope everyone else is doing well and happy and healthy. -

I haven't had a protein shake in at least 2 months. I stick with seafood and chicken. It seems to do the trick. Hair fell out, but I bought new hair, so it is all good. -

I'm considering a memorial service for my hair. I swear every time I shower it looks like someone drowned a moderately sized squirrel in the tub. -

Average Weekly Weight Loss?
cranialmalady replied to erikaloftin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm about 10 weeks out and hit my first major stall 2 weeks ago. I've been about the same weight now for a couple of weeks. Prior to that I averaged 3 to 5 pounds a week. -

Thank you...I thought about you while I was in the hospital...and how positive you've been. All I did was cry and whine and occasionally vomit. My attitude was not as exemplary unfortunately. I am glad you are recovering well. Any regrets since you had some problems? I'm trying not to regret it, but it sure. Is hard not to. -

Whew! Finally out of the hospital after 2 weeks. That nagging left sided pain turned out to be a huge deal. Just happy to not be home though -

I've missed reading up on everyone. I'm 4 weeks post op and readmitted to the hospital yesterday. I will likely be here for a week or so. I thought I had pulled a muscle in the left side last week, but after a couple of days of icky fever and a CT scan it turns out I have "retroperitoneal inflammation involving lymph nodes". I'm a wound care nurse so I only heard blah blah blah. Google tells me it's a big deal, but there seems to be no consensus on the cause. If its not related to my RNY surgery I have seriously bad timing. Hope the world is treating everyone else a bit kinder. Kraney...thinking of you always. Get better soon. -
