1. I think we could do next April somewhere warm. I'm in Texas and it's pretty warm here at that time but I was thinking maybe somewhere by a beach. Gulf shores, Alabama is a pretty place...
2. I think it would be nice to do a one year get together...

MEN! GRRRRR (Sorry men)

My husband and I both work full time and I make more money than him. We both mostly fend for ourselves, so the house tends to stay a bit messy. We are both pretty lazy when it comes to house chores, but for me there is a limit. He takes it to a whole new level. When he washes his own clothes, he will take the lint out of the dryer, but rather than throwing it away five steps away, be will throw it behind the dryer. I have to move the dryer to sweep it out because I'm scared it will cause a fire. He will also put trash in the sink with dishes. Drives me crazy. I tend to leave empty water bottles on the counter but he leaves half empty coke cans everywhere. Its easy for me to throw away the water bottles, but I have to take the coke cans to th sink and pour them out before they can be thrown away. On top of that he drinks 10+ cokes per day and leaves them half full everywhere because he can't remember which one is new or old... we get along great but occasionally get on each others nerves. He is trying to get into the offshore oil drilling so he can make enough money for me to quit my job and take care of the house. I would be more than willing to do all the chores if I did not have to work...
5. You don't need to tell any specifics. You can say you had a hernia repaired and cannot lift anything heavy or it could pop back out, but then it would be work comp. Casheirs can do some lifting, but I don't see why they could not have you work around it... or move you to a floor rep spot for a short few weeks.

Drinking?!?!

I drink a lot less post op than I did pre op. Like a third less at least. I'm not worried about cross addiction.

Drinking?!?!

My doc says never again due to the empty calories, but I'm at the bar right now. Gotta wind down the week somehow. ..

Drinking?!?!

I started drinking four weeks out. Just a little and slowly increased from there.
9. Scrap booking sounds fun! Because of depression I never feel motivated no matter how much I want to be. One of my friends grows her own vegetables to make her own salsa and she makes a lot of handmade things. I'm a good cook but I never feel motivated to do it. I have a lot of pickle recipes and used to make them and give them out to friends. I would like to have a hobby I could include others on, but I can't think of one. Lately my friends have been leaving me out of things and I think it's because I'm married and they are all single...
10. Lol not really but we all cuddle so it's fine: )
11. These are my babies.... The last one is with one of our fosters, so it's five dogs on my lap on the couch lol
12. Forgot to add I had revision to rny on 4/8.
13. I'm enjoying everyone's stories! I guess I will also share: ) My name is Lindsey but most of my family calls me Lou. I'm 25 years old. I've been married for five years. Its been a rough road because he was in the army when we got married and lived in north Carolina and I stayed in Texas to finish college. I would never suggest a long distance marriage to anyone. I would spend summers there but didn't see each other a lot because he deployed three times in four years to Afghanistan. We have been living together now for three years and it's amazing! No kids yet but we have four dogs and occasionally will take in a foster dog which makes five. We have three Pitt mixes and an English bulldog. We only take in Pitt mixes for fostering. We love pittbulls and we have decided to never venture from that breed again because the bulldog is hell... but we still love him. I started the lap band process about three years ago and I never really complained about anything medically or went to the doctor before. So during the process I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, high heart rate, depression, anxiety, paranoia, and ocd. I thought everyone felt like I did so I never complained when I was in pain or tired because I thought it was normal. I got the lap band and they cut a nerve so my left leg is numb. My husband wants kids but I don't want to pass on my medical issues. I want to adopt but he doesn't which I weird because he has two adopted siblings he is very close with. I work as a work comp claims adjuster for Texas. It is a high stress and fast paced work environment and everyone thinks your the devil. I promise I'm not though! I was an art major in college so I kind of did a 180. My dogs are pretty much my life and right now I'm trying to set up a pet sitting business so I can get out of insurance. I just have to come up with the money to register an LLC. At this time though I'm going back and forth with the doctors as now they think I have ibs. I'm like the queen of minor medical conditions. That's it for me though. Thanks for reading!

Question

My doc says no and is supposed to be sending me a list of Fiber foods that bind. Hope that works...

Question

I would give anything to be constipated: ( For the last six weeks I have had diarrhea every day 6-10 times per day. It hurts. It always feels like I've been punched in the stomach. It always takes 30_45 mins to go. My job is getting mad at me because I'm away from my desk so much and getting behind on my work because of it. They are threatening to fire me.
16. I'm in a bit of a pickle.... I only took one week off of work so my short term disability would not have to kick in. I did this because every person that takes short term disability at my job gets fired when they come back. I work from home so when I had complications, I just rested. Well the week I was out, no one covered for me so all my stuff blew up then when I came back they did not give me a chance to catch up. Now I still have chronic diarrhea tmi sorry but I feel I spend half my day on the toilet. My job told me if I'm not caught up in 30 days I will lose my job.. I don't know what to do!

Smoking Questions

I'm trying to get my husband to do the ecig with me. I was always a social smoker and quit smoking a few weeks before surgery and started again a few weeks after. I usually have like three cigarettes every Friday night, but that's about it. I have been doing this for five years. I crave them sometimes during the week, but I don't buy them so I never have any. My husband smokes about a pack a day. He has tried chantix and the patches in the last year and has not quit, which makes me not want to quit when I go out. I wanted to do the ecig so when I'm out and everyone is smoking, I can puff on that and same for my husband. He thinks it's stupid though. Everyone else I have talked to thought the same till they tried it. I don't know how to convince him...
18. I had true lap band and had to live off chips because that was the only thing that I wouldn't throw up. I had a revision to rny. It took 2years to lose 40 lbs with the band which I gained back when they loosened it due to complications. I am 9 weeks out on rny and have lost 31 lbs. This is great but I don't lose as much as first time rny patients because the band ruined my metabolism.
