I love reading about everyone's weight loss journey. It gives me hope! I had surgery on feb 26th , and in the first two weeks I lost 40 pounds. I know that is a huge number, but ever since then I have not lost any more. I know that some people have stalls, but it seems like mine is going on forever. I can tell I'm losing inches because my clothes are getting bigger and bigger. What is going on with me. I am doing everything that I am supposed to be doing. Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them. Should I call my surgeon? I need advice, I am do confused . Surgery date 2/26/13 -

Ok so I asked my surgeon about prevention medicine for gall stones and he said he would not recommend it for me. He said rapid weight loss can cause them but its not very common. He said the side effects of the medication is worse than the risk of developing gall stones. So no medication for me . Surgery date 2/26/13 -

Ok so tomorrow I go for my one week post op appointment , although its been 10 days since my surgery. I'm excited to see how he thinks I'm doing. According to my scale I have lost 25 pounds, but nothing more for the last couple of days. I think I'm gonna start weighing only once a week. Has anyone been prescribed medicine to prevent gall stones ? I was told by a Nurse friend of mine that it was recommended for weight loss surgery patients because the rapid weight loss can cause them ? I am gonna ask my surgeon . Surgery date 2/26/13 -

I am four days post op and feeling pretty good. I decided to try oatmeal for the first time today and it was awesome ! ( watered down a little more than I like). I just felt like I was ready for soft food . It was a great change from liquids . On the down side of things I still get tired easily and have crazy gas bubbles gurgling all the time. Does anyone know how long the gas bubbles last? Surgery date 2/26/13 -

Hello everyone, I had my surgery this past tuesday, all went well. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday . Today has not been bad pain wise, other than getting the hiccups. Any suggestions on how to alleviate them? They are super painful .
