1 year! (Yesterday) surgery February 20, 3013 Wt: 287 1 week post op Wt:130 TODAY!! Finally feel like I have pretty much learned my new body and way of life. There have FOR SURE been ups and downs. Days I hated myself for getting surgery , and days I just wanted to give up. It's been a long year, but I made and today I am happy. Everyday is a new day and I enjoy living life now. The ONE thing that still drives me nuts though: I want to be ME.. I DO NOT want to spend my life being consumed with that fact that I had surgery! It does NOT need to be the topic of every conversation. I don't care to have everyone I know or meet ,know about my surgery. I really feel that people don't understand this. I changed positions within my work place and I avoid the people I worked with for 2+ years. Because if I see any of them the ONLY thing they can talk about is my surgery. Now don't get me wrong, it's very kind of them when they say nice things about how good I look. However, I just want it to be normal. Ya know?!? Chit chat about work and life. Things like that. I mean when a girl gets breast implants, you obviously notice. But that isn't the topic you typically talk about. Does anyone else have this issue? Or am I just too sensitive? I never say anything. I just avoid contact. I guess it's my issue with the fact that most people who have not had this surgery think it's the lazy persons way out . When WE ALL know that is just a load of crap! LoL. I think we ALL deserve a huge pat on the back for surviving this procedure and dealing with all that goes with it. ???? -

The question that is kinda driving me crazy now a days: So how much have you lost? Every week! I get this from fellow co-workers. I know they mean well , but I didn't report how much I gained every week before surgery.. Lol . Plus as we all know there are weeks we don't lose. I just wish ppl would wait for ME to talk about my WLS . Oh and every single night I work: how are you feeling? I can't answer that . It ALWAYS depends. Day,time,my pouch. You guys know what I mean. I just want to be left alone some times . I am at work to work I just feel like a science project some times and it gets to me that's all. Rant end. -

I hate when my mind and body are NOT on the same page. I want to work extra hours and my body says... Ummm ... How about today we throw up every single thing we drink or eat! That sounds FUN! Each day I feel more normal , but right when I start thinking things are all down hill from here I get a day like this. Just frustrating :/ tomorrow is another day and I know it will be a good one I just really really hate to miss work because I feel crumby I am SO happy to hear that everyone is doing well though , gives me extra hope -

Well today is officially 4 weeks post op everyday I seem to learn my new body better. I have also learned not to be SO scared ALL the time back to work fulltime. I am SO excited any pain I may have is under control with grape kids Tylenol .. Lol I am exercising everyday and love it. I have more energy and I am truly finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel I didn't get much food in today, but I still feel ok , so I am not going to stress. I will just try harder tomorrow . I hope everyone is doing well tonight and has eating some yummy foods for me .. Lol I am headed to work night all !!! -

So I was so freaking happy to go to work for a full nights work. Problem is all day today I am have pain. So no work tonight, which sucks big time cause I really want to work. But I have been eating and exercising every day and doing everything I can think of to stay healthy . But this pain will not just go away and stay gone. Almost 4 weeks post op and thought I was done with the pain. I realized today when I was trying to sleep on my tummy area it hurts. Sore feeling. And my bowels ate not moving correctly either I don't think. I have been eating solids and not getting that in return ? My insides hurt? I don't know, I feel SO confused as to why this is going on. I just want to feel good and move on with life and not feel like I have to worry ALL the time sorry I am just so sad right now , I just want to feel healthy and it scares me to be this far out and still having pain. -

Well... The ham slice with cheese has gone good for 2 meals now that gives me hope. My only thing now is I feel thirsty and I keep sip, sip, sipping . However, I feel like I need to down a bottle of water ( which we ALL know is NOT happening) so now I just want that feeling to go away I know others have had the same issues - are there any ideas or what do you drink to stay hydrated. I am craving water . Other than that I am still feeling like I am on the up side of things which is good cause I was pretty worried for a few days there. Hope everyone is doing great tonight. -

Ok so today I feel better then yesterday and I think I might be headed on the right track I stopped at 4 this morning at a local store to see what I might be able to try to eat. I think I figured out my issues from last night. NO MORE MILK FOR ME! None! I drink an 8 oz shake yesterday before work and even with 1/2 % milk , it was hell . I picked you some of those cheese peanut butter crackers to see if that would slow things down. Boy was I scared to try those. But all went great. Eat 2 crackers every couple hours and felt much better. I love that I read every label every time now to check for protein and sugar levels I also bought ham and as soon as I get brave enough I am going to do a thin slice of ham with a slice of cheese wrapped in it. Also for the first time this AM I drank alittle too fast and learned my lesson there too! Talk about waves in your pouch . Omgodness! That came back to visit . So I feel like I am going the right direction and couldn't be happier about that -

I stayed for 2 days and have been to the ER 2 times since. I am 3 weeks post op today and I am just starting to force myself again. I pushed too much too quick Andy left side got really really mad at me. I am hoping it is all behind me and I can start living my new life now. Fingered crossed the only reason I will be at the hospital for now on is work.. Lol rest up.
