I take Optisource. It is formulated for use after bariatric surgery. Kind of a mild orange flavor, and very easy to chew. It is made by Resource and you can get it at Walgreens (some have them and some do not). Or you can order them on the Walgreens website.

Activia is wonderful.......found in the dairy case by the yogurt. It comes in many different flavors and works. Just eat 1 a day.

A few years ago we went on vacation to the east coast. One day when we were in New York this gentleman found out we were from Idaho and asked if we still had to circle the wagon train at night!!! and he was serious. Another time somebody asked if we still had to worry about the indians scalping us. DH took off his hat and said "not any more." ( he is bald) lol

We went on vacation last year and I thought why didn't I get an unfill. But then I said, this is the purpose of the band. Had I been on any other diet, I would have gone off the diet for vacation and probably not gone back after returning home. I tasted every thing I wanted to taste. I missed out on nothing. I just had a bite or two and it felt good to know I stayed on track with my band. :clap2:

Vegaswildflower........I asked my pharmacist about this ( he is also my son lol) and here is the email he sent back to me. Hope it helps. well the first five ingredients are different kinds Vitamin b's. Iodine surprises me because that is very hard to find either otc or rx caffeine is good to get you going if this is suppose to increase energy and weight loss grape fruit extract - there are a lot of drug interactions with this one so be careful if you are on a lot of drugs - most important, either consistently take this or not, not for as needed use 5-HTP (for short) is the ingredient found in turkey that makes you drowsy - not sure why it would be in this the rest I have never heard of or are basic building blocks that your muscles need to grow and function RAE

I use Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Stacked. I order it from www.vitalady.com . I mix it with water and it disolves very easily (no blender needed) They have 4 or 5 flavors. 23 grams of protein, 4 grams of carbs. Tastes good to me. Good Luck RAE

Kiana38 and Paulax.........you can do this. My doctor has the same rules as yours. Dr. Oh was the assistant on my surgery. I am not saying it is easy but it is doable. I knew what the plan was before surgery, which I am sure you did too. So I just made up my mind that is what I had to do because I wanted this to work (I was self pay). It has been 14 months since my surgery and I am very pleased with my weight loss. Could I do the 10 day clear liquid before surgery and the 30 days after again, probably not. I went to a place where we get parts for the farm machinery,I had not been there since my surgery. I walked in and the boss looked at me and his eyes got big and he said (loud enough for everybody to hear), My hell if you get any smaller the wind will blow you away. Caught me off guard but made my day. Told DH that I would go for parts at that place any day. lol

Take the number of pounds you have lost and divide that by the number of pounds you want to lose. Example.....I want to lose 120 pounds, I have lost 94. So divide 94 by 120 and I have lost 78% of the pounds I wanted to lose.

Crystal........I was at Pike's Market last thursday. Love that place. It would be a fun place for people to visit. Also went to the Seattle underground city tour. Very interesting to learn about Seattle's history.

Try having a protein shake. I still have a shake every day. If my DH needs energy late in the afternoon he has one of my shakes. He says it gives him a boost.
