Well I went to my grocery yesterday, Kroger and they do not sell laughing Cow. I will check on line to find out who in Cincinnati sells this

I'm going to get some at the grocery tomorrow!

Please don't leave Mrs Katie because I for one would miss you. I just have one question regarding both posts that I am hoping to get clarification on. ie. your pouch will stretch if you drink carbonation, or that you can't take pills after surgery) Is none of this true? My biggest concern is in regard to the pills you can no longer take. I have taken aleve for headaches in the past and they work best for me. My dietician told me that I can no longer tke them. Is this true? Any information with regard to this will be beneficial to me and thanks in advance.

I have a question. Do any of you sleep on your side? If you do, when you wake up do you get pains in your side? Just curious because I can't seem to sleep on my side with out that pain.

I worked all day, packed my hospital bag, showered and used the wipe cleanse things the hospital suggested. Had my last Protein shake for dinner and a Gatorade in the evening, which the hospital required. Nothing special. Got up in the morning ready to start the journey. Good luck and keep us all posted!

I love the suger free pudding. It helps if you have a sweet tooth and it goes down easy.

My first one was about 5 days or so after surgery and it was black too. The nurse at the hospital said to expect that.

I took your advise and ordered some of the premier shakes on line. I've been sipping water for a few hours and I do feel a little better. I was sad earlier because my Grandson who is 13 has decided he wants to live with his Dad. I know this breaks my Daughters heart and hence breaks my heart. His Father is a good man and lives an hour away. It's the thought of not seeing him as often as I usually do. I have been close to him all his life. I know that this too shall pass. I'm just sad, that's all. I never stay sad long. Sharing the situation helps relieve my sadness. Thanks for allowing me to share.

A few things going on with me. I need to find a protien powder. Do any of you have a suggestion. I have felt bloated and sick stomach for two days and the shakes make it worse. Also, one of my stitches broke and it keeps bleeding. Not major. I called dr and they said if the area isn't hot or red not to worry. Keep bandage on it. I'm a little down today and would like to hear from you guys! Katie, Mz Katie, Gem and Preemiemommy. How are you all doing? What's going on with you guys?

I make watered down grits boil 1/2 cup of water pour in grits microwave to taste add butter and equal. It's tastey and my nutritionist said I can have a little every day. It helps and it doesn't take much to make me full. The shakes have started to bloat me and make my stomach uncomfortable. Anyone else have this problem?

I had a lap band and lap band removal,0. and the Dr prepared me that he may have to do a hand assist which requires a 2 1/2 inch scar coming up from belly button. He said in the very end of surgery he was having trouble seeing when he used the tool to join the pouch with the intestines so he made deduction to use the hand assist. This is not evasive as a full scar but does require a little more recovery. I'm 10 days put and could not lift a child, most days I take about. 2 hour nap, my energy level low. I know it's all up hill from here. Good luck and keep us posted.

Mz Shay, where is the pain? Is it at the incisions? Don't forget to use arm and leg muscles instead of stomach. I didn't have a drain tube except in hospital and the took that out on day 3. My pain seems to get less every day. Bruising on other hand looks like I've been beaten and left for dead. :-). Take Care all

Prayers for you preemie mommy. I sure hope all is well. I saw dr today. My dr did a hand assist and originally I saw a large bruise. Yesterday morning the area turned an angry red it was hot. And I worried about infection. The dr took one look and said bruise. I was relieved. I'm so glad I went to see the dr though. Better safe than sorry. I love my dr. He is chief resident surgeon at Good Sam and has the best bedside manner. Dr Kerlakian you are the BEST.

Congrats Mz Shay. Are you settled in at home? I have been drinking Boost 4 GM sugar 17 GM protein they taste okay to make it taste better I pour it in my best wine glasses with ice and drink like a cocktail. I'm with you guys in regard to pain on left it gets better each day. Ian taking 1/2 medicine which is 1 tsp roxicet. I can't seem to ween from it. Also I've noticed the old clue for having to go pee is different. Now my stomach feels uncomfortable. Anyone notice this?

In not getting all the liquids or protein I'm trying. Remember ladies we are only a week out of surgery. Pre diet weight 259 surgery day weight 252 today weight 247.3.
