So I have been far past my goal weight since 9 months post op. I have been at a steady weight for about 3 months now. I am only 13 months post op, and am not planning on having plastic surgery until February or March of next year. My question is when should I start looking into this? When should I start trying to find a surgeon? Should I wait until almost time to book my consults with different surgeons to find the one who suites me ? I feel so lost...

Thank you Michigan !! I'm going to call a PS my sister and her son used and recommended after the 22nd. She told me she would go with me. I would feel more comfortable with that seeing how she's had plastics from a few Dr.s she can walk me through some things and maybe it won't seem so daunting !

This is more than likely due to the fact that muscle weighs more than fat so you are losing fat and gaining muscle thus you weigh more... Don't get hung up on the numbers on the scale!! Keep exercising and it will all even out!!

I never would have imagined being soo small but I am only 4'10" so I guess my small frame and now skinny(dare I say) body doesn't look misplaced... It all works together, one teeny package all the way around up an down ; ) I had to resize my rings as well and my ring finger is a 3 3/4, but they refuse to size it past a 5 because they say I they do it will compromise the integrity of the diamonds.. Something about pulling the ring in more can cause the stone to pop out... I tried a ring guard but it just made my ring look cheap, and nobody wants a $9k ring to look cheap! So the only other option I have is to add platinum to the band or something called nubs on the inside bottom... I'm waiting until summer though to see how much tighter they will get because we all know the summer makes our hands swell!!! I am very sorry to hear that you lost your mother and my heart goes out to you and your family.... I can't even imagine that kind of a loss. I pray the days get better for you and your family! I know this will be challenging to deal with your loss and not revert back to old habits that comforted us. I think talking to a psychologist is a great idea... Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

I think it's completely normal after this surgery! We loose soo much soo fast an out minds haven't caught up to our changing bodies! I'm a year out and a size 0... But in no way do I think I look that small at all, in my mind maybe like a 10 or 12. But everyone else always comments on how teeny I am and I keep looking around for the "teeny" women... And they're talking about me!!

Just went to old navy and fit into a size 0.... Yes a 0 !!!! I couldn't believe it! I was telling everyone in the dressing rooms how happy I was. They probably all thought I was nuts!! But from going from a size 18-20 down to a freaking 0... I am completely shocked!!

Where can you buy that?? I would love to try it!

Way to go Kraney!!!! That's quite an accomplishment!!!! My anniversary was yesterday, 1 year out!!! I went from a high weight of 234lbs, down to 108lbs and I feel amazing!!! Went on a walk through Main St. With my dogs and boys walked 2 miles and I didn't even get my heart rate up!! Last year before surgery I wouldn't have been able to walk half a block without getting winded!!! My kids and dogs were worn out halfway through... But not me!!! My oldest one decided to take pics along the way... I didn't know he was doing it... I looked through my pics this morning and was like who is that walking my dog??? Oh it's me!!!

My dr. Just told me the same thing.. I had an ulcer and it healed but I'm still having the pain in the middle just under my rib cage. He did an egd and everything looks great. He asked me what I drink and I told him a cup of coffee and usually 2-3 16oz cups of hot green tea or peppermint tea.. He told me that could be causing the pain because caffeine is highly acidic!!

It was like God parted the heavens and the earth and sent down a Godly meal !!! It was amazing!! Set well in my pouch! So far so good!

1- year post op... Just got cleared to eat carbs, having ground turkey with spaghetti and whole wheat pasta...wish me luck!

Sorry to hear that : ( ulcers suck!!! I had one and it took 6 months to go away... I'm still having the pains in the same place as you are but my egd came back no ulcer and everything great... Going for follow up on that this afternoon. Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery!

How fast did you lose your weight? 9 months If you are female and didn't have cosmetic surgery, are you comfortable enough to go to the beach in a bikini? I would say yes for the most part!!! My stomach is very slim and flat no extra skin! My problem area is my arms.. I have bat wings : ( How much loose skin do you have? I have somewhat moderate batwings on my arms and a little but of excess skin on my inner thighs.. But considering all I went through I'm please with the results!!! The only plastic surgery I may consider is my arms and inner thigh lift
