Surgery is later on today!

I hope you start to feel better soon! I felt horrible after my RNY also and had a whole lotta pain as well. Best thing you can do for the pain is to walk, walk, walk! I know that's the last thing you want to do right now, but a lot of the pain is from gas they pump in you during the surgery and the more you walk the better you will feel! Also, each day you will start to feel better and better! Don't worry about how much you gain in fluids or whatnot after surgery, it will all come off and then some in the next few weeks! I gained a whopping 22lbs. From Fluid in the hospital, and I just had plastic surgery 3 weeks ago and gained 16lbs. all of which has come off since! Demand better pain meds and keep bugging them until you get relief and if they say your dr. said this or that tell them you want to speak to your dr. because you are in really bad pain and you need relief! The chest pain will also subside in time but I'm not going to lie, it was hell!! But it will get better day by day! Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing! -
Surgery this morning BA/BL, arm lift and full tummy tuck!
LilBoo007 replied to LilBoo007's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Had my 3 week check up today, my surgeon said that I am healing very well and that everything is looking fantastic! He put me on a scar cream daily, and also using silicone strips on my incisions. I am continuing to wear my compression garments all day! I will continue to wear them until 12 weeks or so. My breasts are riding a bit too high, they are still up in my armpits and he is a bit concerned they may not drop all the way. I'm wearing some sort of Velcro belt around the top of my breasts to help them drop down and I'm also supposed to manually push from the top downward with pressure to also help aid in dropping into place. He said if they won't drop into place by 4 months I may have to have them replaced with smaller implants, so those who pray, pray for me that they drop into place!!! Other than that I'm feeling much much better and everyday gets better! Thank you all for listening! -
My surgeon and nut had me on strictly meat and low carb veggies only besides my low carb protein shakes and water until I reached goal. After that I slowly introduced fruit and natural carbs like potatoes and whole wheat pasta and rice. I still only eat carbs occasionally but I eat fruit daily!

I just had a tummy tuck, arm lift, breast lift and augmentation 3 weeks ago, but I can't wait till my surgeon clears me to do ab work!! I will definitely be doing the plank challenge along with squats!!

You look wonderful! Very impressed!

I did not have lipo, but I had a TT, arm lift, breast lift and augmentation 3 weeks ago and I'm super itchy everywhere my incisions are!! My surgeon told me to take Benadryl and to rub aloe on my incision lines... So far its working!

He seems to promote any and ever trending weightloss scam out there!! I have no idea why anyone would take advice from someone with whom every week he advocates a new way to loose weight!

No you were fine! I didn't take it that way at all. I was small pre-surgery, size 0.... I didn't have a whole bunch of excess skin to begin with... But it was hangy and I didn't like it! So any swelling would make my pants not fit! This was pre-surgery.... As you can see I did not have a huge amount of excess skin... -

Still opting for 2% milk post-op
LilBoo007 replied to latido's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
As I have a hard time getting in all my calories and can often loose weight very easily now, my surgeon and nutritionist told me to drink 2% milk and whole fat things like sour cream, mayo an real butter for the extra calories... But I am past my goal weight of 130.. I am down to 110lbs. And have a hard time keeping the weight up. -
Soo happy for you! Are you back to your old self again 100%? Just wondering how long I'm going to be sitting around!

I agree 100%! My dr. Did my full tummy tuck and for free he did my flanks for free! Also when doing my breast lift he took away the extra skin on the side.. I was soo pleased and happy he did that for me.. He went above an beyond what he was supposed to do.. That's the kind of surgeon everyone wants to get! -

My insurance did not cover any of my plastic surgery... I had to pay out of pocket for all my plastics, as I did not meet the criteria to have my tummy tuck paid for by my insurance. -

Palatable. Protien shake
LilBoo007 replied to mamie60's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I used skim milk, frozen banana, ice and PB2 in my protein shake along with the protein. The PB2 has protein as does the milk! So it's almost 40g protein for 1 shake!!! -
Protein shakes making me Nauseous
LilBoo007 replied to Kelly827's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you buy your protein at The Vitamin Shop, they will let you return or exchange it if you don't like it, just save the receipt! I totally understand your frustration! I believe that the unflavored protein still has somewhat of a taste to it so I would definitely buy it from somewhere you can return it if you don't like it! I had the problem of every protein shake being wayyy too sweet after surgery! It was trial and error until I found one I could tolerate! It was isopure Dutch chocolate it wasn't too sweet and it didnt make me feel sick! I tried Jay Robb and it was good but made me feel sick : ( they also have sample packs at The Vitamin Shop as well by the checkout! Good luck! -
Shapers, waist control, Spanx post surgery?
LilBoo007 replied to Deactivate's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had laparoscopic RNY, 5 small incisions, I didn't wear any support and they never told me to wear any or use anything for it and I healed nicely! Now that I just got plastic surgery, a tummy tuck, brachioplasty, breast lift and augmentation, I have to wear a binder on my tummy, compression sleeve garments on my arms and a surgical bra... I will be wearing them for a few months! You should be fine not wearing anything, but if in doubt always ask your surgeon or one of his nurses! Good luck ! -
I live in Gloucester Virginia, its past Richmond, but before Williamsburg.. I go to Riverside Wellness Center. It's the only full gym we have, they also have a few Anytime Fitness in the area, but my gym has a pool, hot tub, sauna ect, and since I volunteer at the hospital next door 1 day a week for 3 hours my membership is free and its only $22 a month for my husband and $20 a month for both my children combined! I just had plastic surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago so I haven't been at the gym since and I can't wait to go back!!
