My doctor recommended no driving for a week and yes it was very helpful that ny husband was home . I had trouble getting out of bed , walking , and with him being there it helped alot. My doctor has formulated his own brand of pills for gastric bypass patients per what my nutritionist told me today I'm 30 days post op and we are required to take at least 2k mg a day of calcium caltrate along with Iron and Multivitamins x2 a day , 80 g of Proteinex with a brand called New Life and Health that is exclusively sold at my doctors .I hope you get enough of what you need to avoid deficiencies. If you can't afford Hibiscus soap my doctor also said its fine to use Dial Antibacterial the night before and the morning prior to surgery to cut down on infection rates etc. I would continue to use the antibacterial soap until you have the area healed. I am 31 days post op tomorrow and I continue to use Dial Antibacterial Soap for the area until it is properly healed which can take a month or two ....good luck living4myself_gb1-21-13:

I have the same issue except for mine is numbing sharp pain , I believe according to my doctor is it is normal and will disappear soon, we are allowed to take Tylenol, I'm now almost 30 days post op and its normal if the pain is that bad go to the ER, it will be okay just remember why you had the surgery , turn that frown upside down living4myself_gb1-21-13:

Each doctor has different views and success rates , I had surgery 27 days ago and still on liquid and only certain things on our list is allowed some already eating all foods .... My sole meal besides Proteins and Vitamins is Gerber baby food living4myself_gb1-21-13:

Not much stay on strict diet recommend by doctor and nutritionist, I'm still on liquid diet I'll upload some menus and food that they have me on, some already eat this far out but our doctor is strict so just follow the orders , I walk my hallway or a block for 5 to 10 mins when I can , just relax and follow orders and it will shed , this lady I had surgery same day with same doctor lost 40 lbs already but she is over doing herself and not being careful.....I would recommended buying baby spoons and a cup so you don't eat too much or too fast livingmyselfJAN 21,2013:
