There is a lower carb Greek yogurt out there. Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt. Comes in vanilla, strawberry, blueberry, pineapple. 80 calories, 10 protein, 7 carb. Love it!

I am scheduled for surgery 3/14. I previously committed to attending a function 2 weeks after surgery. it will be a 6 hour drive and I will be there for about four days. I am traveling by vehicle and just wondering if anyone has traveled that soon after surgery? Any tips on traveling? I'm not worried about attending the function itself as I can rest in a room whenever needed. Plus I will have a refrigerator available for my use for protein drinks, etc. I am more worried about the drive itself. :/

Thanks for the replies! I think I will be ok my husband is driving. I am just helping my parents out at a navy reunion.... So I can go rest at anytime. Planning on asking doctor ahead of time for extra pain pills for the ride!

You can also make tortilla pizzas or as I like to call them torizzas! You need low carb tortillas. Place it on a pan, poke holes in it with a fork, spray it lightly with Pam, then I believe I cook them at 350, checking them at 6 minutes, flip them then 6 more minutes. That makes the 'crust' crispy. Then add your sauce, cheese (I use soy cheese or fat free), then add your toppings. Cook an additional 10-15 minutes. My husband loves these too!

There is a card that my surgeon gives us. They Just make sure to let us know its not accepted at all restaurants.

Also at vitalicious.com they sell low calorie and low carb English muffins. Another great source for tortillas and low carb foods is netrition.com

I found this in another post and thought it may help some of us. There is an app called 'rxmind me' that is available I know for iPhone and I think for android. You can set reminders for your pills on it. Also saw another app called waterlogged to track water.

Thanks for the link! I am going to try quite a few of those!

I have the bariatric advantage too. I try to order most of my vitamins from bariatricchoice.com since they have a rewards program for credit on your next order. As far as protein shakes I just couldn't commit so I ordered samples from chike and vitalady. Once I find a few I really like I will order large containers. I must say that I received both packages very quickly.

Wow everyone has had great losses! You are all very inspirational! -
I have Tricare prime. I have a military hospital close by, William Beaumont army medical hospital. Going through my PCM with a referral for bariatric surgery at the army hospital I have no copay. I have only had to attend an informational meeting which included info on the three surgeries they offer, as well as meeting with the nutritionist in the same meeting. I also had to attend one support group meeting, and do a psych eval off base (also no copay). After that surgery has been scheduled. I started the entire process on jan17, and surgery is scheduled for mar 14.

Which one is it? I ordered some wonder slim pudding, but waiting until surgery 11 days from now to try it.

I would just be cautious as far as the transfer addiction, as well as drinking empty calories. My surgeon suggests no drinking for the six months following surgery as well as no soda forever. Best of luck to you.

You absolutely look different. I can see a big change in your picture. Keep up the great work!!

I have 110 pounds to lose. My surgery date is march 14. I am 5'1",with a bmi of 40.5. I am still hoping to drop a little more weight before surgery. I just started my two week diet of high protein, low carb, and 1000 calories. I also have only old my parents, husband, and two friends. One friend is very supportive. The other friend much more judge mental and likes to tell me the typical line 'if you just diet and exercise you can drop the weight'. Like I haven't done that before...hmph! Looking forward to being on the losers bench! Good luck to all of you so far. Such an inspiration seeing the losses you are all having!!
