  1. I also use an ice pack. Helps me, for a time anyhow. I can't take ibuprofen or anything like it so that sucks as well. If you can take aleve, it helps.
  2. This is one of the main reasons I am having wls! I have severe stenosis and herniation in my back and have been dealing with this pain for years! I have had several injections, but the pain management Dr. Says that I will need surgery within the year. Not much more he can do for me at this point. I have "flare-ups" all the time where I have a hard time walking. Weight loss may help, but if it doesnt, at least i'll lose the weight necessary to have back surgery. I am sorry you are going through this, because I know it IS NOT FUN! Keep moving, and stretch. Look online, there are many websites that can give you tips. Good luck!

    Support

My husband, although he is alittle nervous, supports me fully! He has seen my struggles with back pain and would rather have me have the surgery than end up in a wheelchair by 45 years old. My kids are also very supportive and excited for me. My girls talk about what fun shopping will be when I lose the weight! I honestly don't know if I could do it without the support of my family!

    I Can't Wait Till....

I want to have NO MORE back pain! And all of the other things that everyone has already said! To some people, these things may seem so small and trivial, but to a big person, they can mean alot!

    What size are you now?

I am currently in size 28 jeans and 3-4x tops. I CANNOT wait to get out of these sizes and be able to shop at regular stores! You all are such great inspirations!

    I hit goal weight!

That is amazing! Congrats! Hope I am able to do the exact same thing!
  7. I had my pre surgery psych evaluation today and got the green light from the doctor! I am so excited that this step is over. No more tests , just two more pre op appointments with the weight management/surgery team and I will be given my surgery date on March 27th! Hopefully I will start my new life by the end of April! Now I just have to learn as much as I can and WAIT!
