  1. Your sister is dealing with her her loss and just lashing out on you....had this not happen how did she feel prior to this? Was she supportive, what were her views...

and I understand right now she is grieving, sometimes people deal with things differently..don't take it to personal...right now you need to worry about you, your life, your children and your journey, vain, selfish, & a bad mother for wanting to live a healthier life and live longer is not wrong....move forward and dry those tears! :)

  2. My pouch loves snow crabs, tilapia. Butt I dump on shrimp....some days if my pouch feels like dumping ii will dump on snow crabs and believe me I can eat that almost everyday....everything is trial and error ...sometimes our pouches will be fine with what we eat and then the next time it will disagree....hope u feel better....dumping n foamies is the worst...

  3. Everyone gets gas, so gas x has become a good friend of mine.:) walking does help but if the pain on your side consist call your doctor...don't worry about being a baby, for every pain I had I called my doctor right away..in fact she was on speed dial...lol

    Congrats on your new life:)

  4. Congrats on the decision to take your life back.

2nd- the best advice for you is to keep a food log of your food intake, hold yourself responsible for what you put in your body.....

3rd remove the word *can't* from your vocabulary.you did not gain weight overnight and you will not lose weight overnight...it takes time but don't feel discouraged

I will say this, surgery is not magic, you will have many stalls during your journey (many of us here have) but don't feel down we have many things to be thankful for along the way....grab a pair a pants that you have not fit in a long time, cross your legs, how are you sleeping, feeling? look for other things that you can say wow...I feel so much better.

I can tell you from experience i have had stalls during my entire journey but you know what I look at the positive aspect of my journey and that makes me say the numbers don't matter:)

WLS rules, Protein, Water, Vitamins, FOOD log, walking, exercise...follow these rules and you will be fine....

your pouch will do its job, you have to do the rest, good luck :)

  5. Some days my sleeve Loves me more than I love it. When I try to hang out with my old habits and the fun I use to have with a food party.....my SLEEVE COP puts the brakes on. I'm almost 6 months out and feel like this hasn't worked for me as well as I wished. Lately I haven't been able to work out and have been suffering with a painful pinched nerve in my leg. I do log daily with myfitnesspal and average 900 cals daily. I've been stressed planning a 50th birthday party for my hubby and I think I'm in a slump. Sometimes I forget I had the surgery since I didn't have any problems. Its so cold here in New York and I'm feeling the Winter blues. I'll start to exercise and won't finish on cloudy days. Think I'm a little weight loss depressed. Hoping this will pass soon.

Hang in there sis trusty me it does get better. I'm in NYC too when I can't be active outside Shaun t rocking body video does the work for me....just dance and enjoy it....also having support around...where r u. In NYC?

  6. I would love to have some people on mine that have had WLS. I had a few that added me then asked me question about my food intake and made comments about me taking the easy way out. I was like really???

Easy way out..people that usually make statements like this are uneducated on the process of this journey and how we use this tool to help with weight loss.

I only save people that have had weight loss surgery, because in the end we will only understand one another during this process plus we encourage and share food ideas...no judgements! :)

  7. My poor husband. I woke up last night about midnight to find him looking at me lovingly. I asked him what was going on and he said your gas is killing me. I honestly think there was green gas coming out of the sheets.

    Hahahahahahahahaha....

Do u know ii passed gas in one room and tried to get away from it and my kids started yelling saying omg ma it followed u sighs lol

  8. I have been a store manager for 5 plus years with Rue21. As a result of my surgery I was forced to quit December 9th. 4 days after surgery. The demanded I go to work. I could not even stand up. I was senta text from a manager on vacation and was told under the circumstances of her being on vacation and no one else to cover I have no choice I have to go in. I was not released from my doctor. I filed for unemployment. And Rue21 denied it. I have my apoeal next Friday. They put that I quit fir personal reasons. I have all the documents including the texts. Any advice from you would greatly be appreciated. I am 51 not many companies are hiring people my age.

Congrats on your surgery and sorry you are going through all of this. This is one of the reasons I am happy I work from home. As long as you have a paper trail there should be no reason they deny you what is rightfully yours. And if you were forced to quit just make sure you have proof to appeal....I wish you all the best. They have many jobs you can do from home....right now I'm sitting in my room working....as long as you have a computer and a phone you can find something from home....ever need help I can point u in the right direction of at home from there u do ur research and become your own boss.....(nothing like these scam at home jobs)

Don't let this stress interrupt your new life change, these are small bumps in the road
