Almost a month out and nothing tastes good!
life_after_gastric_bypass replied to Med1862's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Before I had surgery they told me our taste buds would change....I thought as much as I loved food that would never happen and it did. I hated Water, I hated eggs, meats were yuck nothing seemed to taste right and the smell of foods would gag me, my interest in food went low too....now is where I am becoming a little more better with the foods and the taste, so all I can say is in the weeks to come it will get better Congrats on your new life -

Weight loss stopped
life_after_gastric_bypass replied to Yennydayerman's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
The dreadful stalls happen often, don't let it stress you. Throughout my journey I couldn't even count on my hands how many times I hit a stall. What I would do is hide the scale, keep my mind busy, up my protein, added more water, followed my doctors orders and walked a lot (if I had time to exercise I did that too) 30lbs is a big deal so congrats on your loss so far, the rest will follow believe me:) no worries and wishing you the best! -

life_after_gastric_bypass replied to shyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am no longer obese, I am now overweight!! (whoever thought I would be happy to be overweight ?! lol) I went to buy sneakers, I use to be a size 11w...I am now a size 7, and i looked at my daughters sneakers...and fit them too...and she's a 6 1/2 I finally know what a collar bone, chin bone and waist bone feels like and can finally see them use to be in a size 32 jeans now in a size 13....(lately the 13's are getting bigger but I refuse to buy to much clothes until my weight is steady) I use to be size 46DD, then went to size 32d and now this bra is starting to get loose and soon i will be stuffing my bra at the age of 40 because my girls are looking like prunes...lol I also use to have a nice booty but now that is going away thank goodness for butt pads..lol overall I am happy with my progress...my assets are leaving but as a woman I know how to dress it up...Victoria Secret here i come...i think lol congrats everyone on your progress!! -

NEED SOME ADVICE
life_after_gastric_bypass replied to kkelly37's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After having major surgery I think all of us agree you will be tired and may have minor pains and aches and you will need to be resting and healing. I understand that this is dad's wedding but this is a life change for you and this is a big deal for you..... if it was me, I would send my blessings but I will move forward with my surgery...I would not change my surgery date for anyone. This is your time, your new beginning and dad should understand that! Good luck -
