Thanks putti, same to you wishing you all the best -
2013 has been a great year for me. I was able to use Gastric Bypass as a tool to lose weight, I am down 130lbs so far, surprisingly I can actually fit my teenagers clothes now!! From a size 32 to a size 11 I have changed my relationship with food, friends and people. I have discovered the woman deep inside of me who was trapped for so long and realized I am stronger than I thought I was. I survived a brain aneurysm and although I suffer from memory loss my God has spared my life to still be here. I have learned to look at myself in the mirror and instead of feeling disgust, I am learning to love who I am today. I haven't felt this good in years! I feel lighter, I feel healthier, I feel sexy and I am happy I took charge of my life! if you are thinking about making changes in your life do it now, you don't need a new year to do anything just start today. If you need surgery to help as a tool along the way do your research now and go forward to a healthier life. Surgery is not an easy way out it is a tool to help you lose weight. You have to put in the hard work this is not magic. If you have the power to do it without surgery and clean eating inspire someone else. The best exercise you can do is life someone else up^ Log your food, and hold yourself accountable!! Is my best advice I have met a lot of great people, especially here online, I want to wish you all the best success and wish u all the strength in the world for the new year. Fighting obesity is not easy but fighting it one pound at a time will become easier by the day!! Cheers to you all *holding my bottle Water in the air* , remain blessed, no stress and here's to us ....we are not where we use to be, we are in a better place!!! And soon we will reach our goals!! enjoy your journey!! Peace and blessings Veronica xoxoxoxox

You make me so proud....lol, now when I shop with my kids they know the look on my face when I am about to blow..plus I no longer have control so they know to run out of dodge (literally) then if I walk fast it just comes but the aftermath and reactions, I laugh to myself.....I once passed gas and the smell was so bad when someone came in the aisle my kids had a face of embarrassment but I stated to the shopper "oh gosh I think someone threw a stink bomb in here and ran" I guess as a warning cause I felt bad lol lord the look on my kids face priceless.... -

11 Months And 128Lbs Gone Forever!

First off I cannot believe I am almost a year out from my new life. Life has changed for me dramatically in so many ways. The things I never thought I would be able to do, I’m able to do today. One was change my relationship with food. Food has been part of my life for so long and just the thought of handling life issues on my own without the comfort of food was a hard pill to swallow. My health has turned around for the best which was the most important thing I wanted to do, I did not want my weight to be a factor in my death. I was miserable, I was overweight, I was angry, I was never able to find clothes that actually fit me, and I was trapped in a body that I ultimately hated. I knew things were bad for me when I was unable to reach my girl parts in the shower. I was unable to walk one block without losing my breath & my sleep apnea was really out of control when I would choke and stop breathing while I slept. After having a brain aneurysm I fell depressed and food really became a comfort. For a few years I would not even take pictures or look in the mirror, I basically hated my own reflection. My only regret about having my surgery was I wish I had done this sooner. I have had many bumps in the road. And believe me this is no easy way out, you have to take it day by day. My relationship with food, people and loved ones have all changed for the better…(yes believe me I am a new person, so whatever was negative in my life before is no longer in my life now…elimination is key this time around and it feels good to be in control) For anyone starting their own journey, I would like to say, do your research, find much needed support, ask as many questions as you like no question is dumb, never compare yourself to others, do what works for you, stick to the program, LOG YOUR FOODS, eat your protein and be sure to take your vitamins, learn to love the new person that will surface life only gets better from here! and most important---DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO TALK YOU OUT OF TAKING YOUR LIFE BACK AND LIVING A HEALTHIER LIFE! -

Thank you so much, being trapped in a body you hate is depressing. I did not know how much I let myself go, I refused to even look in the mirror. I am so thankful that we do have options. My only regret is I wish I had done this sooner. Now I feel so good about me, my health and loving me became so much easier:). And guess what you will feel the same and you will inspire the next person as well. I wish you all the best! -
