Oh yes your taste buds do change...there were things I use to have before surgery now I gag at the thought of it being in my mouth

I'm not much of a drinker, before surgery I liked something light like a pina colada, I spoke to my nut she said if I want to drink, try a glass of red wine...(have no clue what it taste like, but she said be very easy with it or I'll be dancing on a bar...lol)

Although your husband is not fully supportive take him to an appointment to get a better understanding of what you have to go through now verses before. what were some of the bad experiences you had with the lapband?

Pre-op I used the Isopure creamy vanilla and it tasted really good..after surgery not so good...

During my surgery I had my period...after surgery my periods have been a little off...like I would get it, then it would stop then it would come again....with-in weeks time...so I am way off.... I remember using depo when I was younger and it made my hormones crazy and I had my period for 2 months straight...never again...lol

It will get better, congrats on your date, you will rock this no worries!

I loved eggs before...after surgery and the taste bud change I hated them. Now I am starting to somewhat like them again
