Just got the call confirming time, at 11am. Wish it were a little earlier but I'm ok with it, just very nervous....I don't think I'll sleep tonight. Good luck to the surgeries tomorrow too!

Uuugh Dr. said I have to stay one more night. UGI went well but I had pain and nausea when I began my liquids, I've been walking but it doesn't seem to help. So another night it is. -

Hi Had surgery yesterday. As of now, the only discomfort I'm having is chest pain. Could be gas or catheter tube that was just removed. I did walk a little last night, believe me it's not easy. I felt like someone had beaten me all over! lol Slept like a baby due to morphine but as if today no more pain meds uuugh! I am now waiting for UGI test. -
Good luck to all of today's surgeries! As for me, no more morephin, horrible chest pain and getting ready for UGI. Catheter is out(thank god). Feeling a little tummy discomfort(5incisions) but its the chest pain that is bothering. Slept like a baby last night but that was due to the pain meds, unfortunately no more today

Hi everyone, came out of surgery and into my room around 5:30pm. Just did my first walk and over did it and in lots of pain, got my dose of morphine and falling asleep. Nursing staff has been awesome! Tomorrow is my ugi, I will keep everyone posted.

Well only slept a couple of hours, have my bag packed, showered & washed my hair but....I'm soooo hungry! lol Have to be at the hospital by 11am(will try for earlier) and I can't believe the day is finally here. I am praying for everything to go smoothly. Will keep everyone posted as soon as I'm ok.

Thanks everyone. Just got back from a little retail therapy for needed supplies. I'm tired, nervous but anxious about tomorrow. My new life begins soon

Just came back from my final office weigh in and I've lost 15lbs!! Surgery is 3/5 and I have 4 more pounds to lose! Woooohooooo!!!

I am scheduled for surgery on 3/5 and want to start purchasing the Vitamins I will need post op. Which is the best place to purchase all my vitamins? I checked Bariatric Advantage but they were a little pricey :o/

I called my Dr. this morning and he said only Tylenol products

I cheated and I feel awful. I am on my 5th day pre op Optifast liquid diet, was doing great, lost 9lbs and I went and cheated at Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant. I ate a salad and a cup of soup. To top it off, I think I'm getting a cold, sore throat and sinus! Surgery is on 3/5 and I'm hoping when I go in for final weigh on 3/1, I'm ok. ~Guilty~

My shakes are pre-made, I tolerate them better when right out the freezer. Unfortunately it's only shakes, water and sf jello for me for two weeks. I'm still hungry and have been tempted to cheat, it's very hard.

how are you doing with your shakes? I also started Tuesday with the same surgery date as you!

I'm sorry, glad mine was over last week. What day are you on shakes? Is it only shakes or shakes with Water and sf Jello?
