I got most of mine from a website called Nashua nutrition. You can order samples for 1.95 each. There are many different brands and flavors. I also ordered from MyBariatricPantry and unjury. I get the Atkins advantage and body fortress from WalMart. I have over 100 samples for after surgery, so I'd say I'm ready!

Heading to my last weigh in today. Then everything gets submitted to insurance. Hoping for a quick answer, so surgery can get moved up! Been off from work with severe back and leg pain. Off all of Feb., went back for two weeks and off again. Pain management doctor has nothing else for me at this point, because nothing is working. I want to get this process moving ASAP. The sooner I lose the weight, the sooner I can get my back fixed. Then maybe i can actually LIVE my life! Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the responses about food scale. I guess i'll buy one. That way I will know I'm eating the right amount.

quick question regarding food. Do I really need to buy a food scale? Does anyone use it to measure food??

I think like you as well! i'd go with the Ben and Jerrys as well, since you already blew it! LOL! too funny! Just get back on it and you will be just fine!

Welcome Amber! I too am the "fat" one in a family of skinnies!! I havent told 3 of my siblings yet, but I am pretty sure they will be supportive. They all know of the back pain I have suffered with for years. I will add you too our April list so just keep us posted when you get your date!! good Luck!

OUCH is right!! I dont have to pay anything up front, just set up a payment plan. At least this is what the nurse told me, I guess I better make sure at my appt on the 27th. It does feel good to be getting ready huh? I only need a food scale, (do I REALLY need?), and some new flip flops for the hospital! (i hate slippers)

Good luck! Hope you are feeling better soon! I was thinking that being so close to surgery is too good to be true. I will probably get sick or something on the day and they will cancel it! Would be my luck!! LOL!

I got a confirmation letter in the mail yesterday. My surgery time is 9:30am with an arrival time of 7:30am. Gosh this is getting real! I didnt think I was nervous, but when I read the letter, my heart started pounding and tears came to my eyes. I just cant believe that after thinking about doing this for years, it is just right around the corner! My life is about to change, and finally, FOR THE BETTER!!
