    Reassurance needed!

You are at a normal stall phase. It is called the hibernation syndrome. Your body feels it is starving so it begins to hold onto everything. You may also feel depressed. It is a hard time but most of us go through it. It will pass and the weight will come off. Be patient and try to keep yourself busy and not focus only on weight. You may still be losing inches. Hang in there! Im 4 months pkst op and can tell you that it does get better!

    Reassurance needed!

You will not feel full for awhile post op because the stomach nerves havent healed! I was able to eat at first and thought the surgery didnt work but give it time and once you are healed you will feel full! Dont overdo it or eat things that arent allowed while you are healing. You should weigh out the portions and stick to that until your body is back to normal. Be patient! It is a process but will be worth it. Best of luck.

    Beef jerky

I started early but chewed it to mush!
  14. I was torn between the two surgeries as well and my surgeon wouldn't point me in either direction. He believes in giving the facts and having the patients decide. My son is having the sleeve in October. I chose the rny because of my gerd and my eating habits. If you have trouble with sweets, and fried foods at all, the rny is the way to go. I wanted the "fear" of dumping to always be there to help me mentally. I had the rny on 4-22 and havent had any symptoms of gerd since that day. It is absolutely wonderful. I am down over 60 lbs in 4 months and feeling great. Try googling rny and the sleeve. I did this and found several side by side comparisons that lay it out for you. Hope this helps.

Stick with it girl. It will be so worth it in the end. my son was 486 and the surgeon wanted him to be 400 by surgery date. He is now under 400 and his surgery is in October.
