I love the Optimum Nutrition shakes. They are about $54 for 5 lbs which isn't too bad. They have awesome flavors too. I've had mocha cappuccino, coffee, and chocolate coconut and none of them taste like protein! This is what the brand name is: Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard. Look for it on Amazon for the best price and variety of flavors!

I want to wish all of my April friends a very Happy New Year! 2013 had alot of downs for me but the ups were amazing! I have made a few great friends here and you all have helped me immensely! I wish you nothing but the best in 2014! Hugs and lots of love!♥ -
How awesome for you! It IS the best feeling in the world! I was a 28 and am now a 14 after 8 months. Cloths shopping is fun now. I get to actually decide what I like instead of buying something just because it is the only thing that fits! Congrats on your success!

big doubts, thinking of canceling my Jan 16 surgery
Dorian replied to Tizzielish's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Like Terry i have had ZERO regrets! I am healthier than I have been in years and feel great. I had the bypass in April to lose weight due to severe back problems. My decision was simple because I really needed back surgery and had to lose weight before any spine surgeon would do it. In November I had back surgery and am doing great. As far as the malabsorbtion issue I have had my blood work done and it is all right on. In fact it was all better than pre op! Taking vitamins is really no big deal. I have it all layed out daily and take the same things at the same times. It works out good for me. I wish you luck in making this decision. You need to be READY to do it but I don't think you would regret it! -

Don't get too much though because your tastes can change. Things may be too sweet. Try Nashua Nutrition 's or bariatric advantage website. You can order single serving samples. I had ordered many samples and was glad I had a variety. Best wishes to you! -

I LOVE this too! -
The nerve endings in your stomach take time to heal which is why you won't feel full or hungry for awhile post op. This is why you should weigh and measure what you eat. Also follow the plan your surgeon gave you. Once the nerve endings repair themselves you will feel full quickly.

Awesome job!

I didn't have any problems with drinking any fluids right after surgery either. I tried to sip but ended up drinking normally. When I told my surgeon he said as long as it didnt hurt I was ok. Glad all is going well and I hope the sleep improves. There are several of us insomniacs on here to keep you company though if you're awake!

No I dont. Haven't had any soda or anything but beer doesn't bother me. kinda wished it did. I was a big beer drinker before surgery and don't want to go back to that. I drink it out of a glass with ice so maybe that helps??? -

You are beautiful my friend!! Glad you were successful over the holidays. I didn't have any trouble with eating badly but I haven't been getting my Protein or Water in everyday. I've also indulged in quite a bit of beer which I HAVE to stop! I actually will be glad when new years is over and things get back to normal. Good news is that my weight hasn't gone up! -
I had the low oxygen levels too. The stupid machine beeped all night! Same thing after my back surgery! Sounds like you are on track otherwise and doing well. Congrats! Best wishes.
