Hi, I was banded last June, I have lost 50lbs. But I need help, I am going to get another fill on tuesday and I have not lost any weight. I am really struggling with head hunger. I know that I am a food addict, and I am going thru alot of stress right now. My parents are terminally ill, and it is draining. I have 7 kids, 3 of whom have special needs, from aspergers to adhd, and a lot of emotional trama. SOme days it sucks the life out of me. ANyway if anyone can offer words of wisdom or help please help me. It is depressing to not have success. Anna

I had 7.5ccs and had great restriction. One day I had none! Went to the Dr, He pulled out 4cc of fluid and 2.5cc of air??????????? Where the hell did the air come from? Anyway, he filled me to 5ccs and so far it is OK, not great but OK. I have a problem with head hunger, more than anything else. Night time is the worst~

Just an update, Iwent ot the Drs, and of the 7.5cc that I should have had in I only had 4cc's. ANd 2.5cc's of air. He then gave me 5cc's. And told me to come back in a month, instead of 3. So far so good! i lost the wt I had gained. ANd I hope this is the end of it.

I am now convinced that I have a leak. I was banded almost a year ago, and did well up to the second fill. I only lost 2lbs in three months.( I suspect it was 2lbs of tears). I was very upset, so they gave me a 1.5cc fill and I was doing ok. I did get almost everything stuck. Lost 7 lbs in 3 months. I went for my fill 10 days ago and because of my getting most meat stuck(of course the fact that I have 7 kids, dinner is not exactly peaceful for me). he only gave me 1/2cc. I waited the next day for my stomach to be sore, and I could eat anything I wanted, as fast as I wanted. I am now up 5lbs, eating like a horse. I am sure I have a leak, Thank you for all the info. I had a small fill 10 days ago. 1/2cc. Prior to that, I used to get stuck at least once a day, I tend to eat fast. Since this fill I have no resistence at all. I have gained 5lbs. I am so upset...........SHould I go back and do a couple days of liquids? Is the band leaking? call the doctor. can someone please help me. Thanks:sad_smile:

I am staying on plan today, because I feel like crap! I feel better metally as well as physically, when I am on Program.... And because my husband is beating me in our weight loss adventure..........

I keep hearing the term "Sweet spot" What does that mean???

DH means "Dear husband" I am staying on plan today, because I am sick of failing!!!!! Today is the day.

I am thinking about calling my doctors office to speak to the therapist, It is comforting to know that I am not alone. I also need to visit here everyday. Thanks everyone!

I am fighting head hunger everyday.It is winning. I have been bouncing back and forth for over 6 weeks. 4 lbs in both directions. Today is a new day. I am counting everything I put in my mouth. Breakfast, is a protien shake, and off to the pool.

This is also a struggle for me. I have found that if I plan what I am going to eat for the day, and keep myself busy then I'm ok. The night time is the worst. One day at a time............

I had my second fill on OCt 9, I have lost 1lb. that is it. I have a 10cc band, the first fill was 4cc, the second was 1.5ccs. I do not have restriction. The only time I feel anything is when I eat too fast. I know some of my issue is head hunger, any suggestions??????????:help:

Hi Jersey girls, I am from Runnemede, but moved to Phila 8 yrs ago. I went to Jeanes hospital, and they have a fantastic program. All kinds of support. the best decision i have ever made!!!!!!!!!

I am also 5 months out. I have found if I do not drink my fluids like I am supposed to, then I get hungry. I have to chart it on the frig. a hash mark fo reach 8 oz. It has really helped me. I also do 3 meals 3 snacks. I am thrilled with the lap band. My hubby got his 8 weeks ago and has lost 45 lbs. it does work! good luck

I was banded on 5/24, I have had 1 fill and I am due for the second on 10/9. My problem is the scale has not moved in about three weeks. And I have only losy 20 lbs since my last fill. I am getting discouraged. I have not cheated, not once. Any advice????????:help:

Thanks for your replies. yes, I am working out, for the first time in my life. I have joined a gym, and I work the machine for 30 minutes then swim for 1 1/2 hrs. at least 4 times a week. I am starting a food diary today. I have been doing a very high protein drink in the morning, and I wonder if that could be a mistake. When I add up the calories it is 430???????? So I am taking a break from that.

My Doctor told me 6 weeks. However he never mentioned it to my husband. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

My Doctor said two weeks or as soon as there are no scabs on your incision. I waited two weeks and I have'nt missed a day since.

I had my Driver's License picture taken. And when the clerk handed me the License, and oh my God, there was a picture of my Mother on steriods............... When did I start looking like my Mother? and What the hell has blown my face up?...........................................within the month I had an appointment with my surgeon.
