Pain in the diaphragm area
one day at a time replied to zimetta's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The reason I had RNY was due to this same sounding pain. My doc told me it was esophageal spasms and gerd related; that this surgery would help. I had my surgery in Feb and I still have the pains! They doc prescribed me nitro to take as needed/when I have the "attack" and it helps immediately. I hope you get it figured out. Good luck. -

I'm 8 months out and the only foods I have trouble with are triscuts and pork chops. I can eat everything including fried foods and dairy. I eat these foods in moderation! -
Charly horses! Ouch
one day at a time replied to one day at a time's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink tons of fluids but will try to drink more these next few days to see if it helps. Thank you! -
I wake up most every night with charley horses in my calfs and/or feet. I've never had this problem before and hurts like hell! Any insight would be appreciated. I'm almost 8 months out.

Have any of you had to take prednisone after bypass? And, was it ok? -
Today I was prescribed a full cycle of prednisone starting tomorrow. The doctor was not my regular physician and just want to make sure it's okay to take with the bypass. Thoughts or insight? I'm 6 months out....
