Everyone is doing great! Started at 214. SD 2.21.13. Current weight: 159. Goal weight 140. I too have bat wings and feel hungry; wanting to eat all the time! I do not exercise and am finally feeling not so tired. First 5k this weekend! -

Alcohol & RNY

I do wine. A glass with dinner. Sometimes, I go all out and have two. All is good. I stick with Pinot noir or Grigio (less sugars). One time I drank way too much (5 glasses on a night out) and felt very ill the next day; as in shakes, diarrhea, thought I needed the er. Don't suggest overdoing it. -

Yay! What a great feeling to be losing again. -
I am having huge issues with still feeling "large". I understand I have lost weight but its like I can not accept being smaller. I feel big. I know they say this is the mental aspect, but I'm wondering how long it takes before being smaller finally sinks in? I feel flabby. Thoughts or insight?

one day at a time replied to Ms. Mandy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am three months out I get hungry. I crave chocolate. I DO NOT crave carbs. I will eat a high Protein chocolate bar. I eat fruit. I just think healthy. I am in my masters program and research shows when you are using your thinking part of your brain, you crave chocolate. -

Very confused also. I thought there was a standard procedure. Is it the dr that makes the decision?

I'm allowed all the decaf I can handle. They gave it to me after my surgery. I would not live without it.

I would like go share the only way I am able to get my protein in, as after surgery i cant stand the protein drinks. I mix protein mix ( choc or van) and mix with 1/4 cup of water. (I use a small 3oz container with lid). I mix this with my decaf coffee 2x daily. Tastes like a coffee ordered from the shop and does not taste like a protein drink.

Protein drink idea

I was drinking piping hot decaf the day of my surgery and I've never had any issues with hot things. My nut says decaf counts as a Fluid, so u get both in. -
