OMG! I remember the first time I heard the word Obese connected with me - I was a newlywed and 21 years old. I was absolutely offended - I clearly was not obese; I wasn't THAT large. And, then ... I only went up and up and up ... I can't wait to have that word no longer on my charts - what an amazing feeling that must be!! Congrats to you Kat :car:

Oh my gosh - I completely agree with your anger! I hate that doctor's can keep us waiting. We set appointments for a reason! I, for once, would like to actually see a dr at the time that I am supposed to! When they question me on needing a fill I always tell them that my weight loss is only due to will power and that I'm HUNGRY!! They usually don't say much after that and give me the fill :0) I'm sorry it went so bad for you ((hugs))

I haven't heard if it's changing. This was his special cash price but I didn't get the impression that it was changing. From what I remember it was because he worked out a deal with the hospital to get lower rates due to the volume he does.

Mine is about 1-2 inches below my sternum. It isn't visible yet and I can feel it when I try. I'm not sure why this spot over another or if I have the low profile or not. hmmm, not much help huh? (sorry)

I got em!! I can also do the big burps too. I stopped after giving up diet coke (one of my true loves). But now with a little restriction, the burps are back

My rings are so loose that they just spin in circles now that it's cold. While it is annoying, I LOVE it!! I had some size 14 capris that I've been saving for years - now it's cold and I'm a size 14. By the time it warms up, I won't be able to wear them (guess I'm gonna have to go shopping!) My favorite one: shopping in regular stores!! No more hideous patterns or flowers for the big girl - why do they think us larger women really want to wear that?!?! (sorry - went to ranting)

Beckiet - I get clothes on a regular basis. I didn't include it in my incentives because I have to have them. That's why I don't have more "mini" goals on there. I'm going to raid mom's closet today - she has clothes from 8 - 18; I'm down to 14 and they are already getting baggy (woohoo!! what a problem to have!) Menopause has really caused her a lot of weight gain. I had to promise not to get rid of them when they don't fit me anymore Anyone else need to resize their jewelry yet?

Hello all!! I'm praying for your recoveries and for those of you in CA with the fires! My mom just moved there last month so I've been watching it closely. She didn't get evacuated but is watching as well. Thank God the winds are starting to die down. Blessings to all!

Oh and my MIL - has talked to me about diets for 16 years!!!!!!! The first time I met her she only wanted to discuss all the diets she had ever heard of. That was an absolute nightmare!!! She has despised me all these years; thought I was fat and lazy; that I was a bad mother because I used to smoke (gave that up 4 years ago); and the list just goes on and on and on. Now, I think she's relieved I've gotten the band and is all for it. But now, after all these years, I don't CARE what she thinks anymore!!!!!:heh:

#1 165 by Thanksgiving #2 150 by February 23rd (my birthday) #3 120 by June 25th (bandiversary) I haven't worked out all the rewards. I'm thinking a spa treatment for my birthday if I get the goal. And, I KNOW that I am going to buy a fabulous leather coat when I get to goal!!! I've asked all family members that all gifts be in clothing or money to buy clothing!! I'm gonna be naked soon - lol

Only a little. I didn't purposely go looking for any to climb though :mad: I did not go upstairs in my house, but did have to climb a couple here and there. I just took it slow. Good luck to you!

Suzzie - I'm excited for you and I can't wait to hear the results!! I think I want one too!!!!!!!!! Fitday software is great and all but I don't think it really knows my metabolism rates (which is dead, by the way). Good luck on the 2.5!

Phyllser - your pictures don't show up for me :think I haven't figured out how to add pics yet. I did upload an attachment in my monthly support group page. I was terrified - not sure why. My surgery went really well. I drove down to Houston from Dallas to get it done. The ride home 3 hours after surgery was not pleasant and I had no pain medicine - darn pharmacies close too early. I went back to work on Wednesday after having it done on Monday. Not really the best choice :faint: My hubby took great care of me. After the first week, I was on vacation for the next week and really was able to just relax and heal. I've now had 3 fills and really think I could use another one. I just hate driving down to Houston. It is cheaper for me to go there than to pay for one here since the fills were included in the price. I love love love my lap band and I only wish I could have done this 10-15 years ago and saved myself a world of grief and heartache. Hugs & Prayers, Geneva
