  2. kbinaz - it will come. You just have to go and get fills. They can't just sinch you all the way up because you swell a bit as well. If they did you would close off and have to have some removed. It takes time - sorry to say it. And then, once you get it you start losing more weight, it will losen up again because of less fat around your tummy. I thank God that it is adjustable so that we can always get it just where we need it.

    Couch to 5K Anyone want to start with me ?

    I finished an extra day of Week 1 workout yesterday. I wanted to get back on track for Tues/Thurs/Sat runs. I'm ready for week 2!!!!! Mindy - how far does the treadmill show that you are getting after the whole workout? I'm on a track so I don't know about the speed. I'm making 6 laps which I'm guessing is 1 1/2 miles. I'm really slow - also I'm only 5' 0" so I have a really short stride to go with it.

Denise - I thought the very same thing! What I realized is that all these tickers get updated when you update your weight. So I was seeing old posts where they've barely been banded and they showed that they had already lost 50 pounds!!!!! I kept thinking WHAT am I doing wrong to not get the same results - duh! I now put my weigh date in my signature so hopefully it won't confuse other newbies

    lol Ghost - no gagging here :mad: I believe what you say is true. We have to believe and have faith that we can do it. We start sabotaging our efforts because we fear success - whether it's career, relationships, weight or whatever. I'm not into "positive thinking" on it's own but I do believe that keeping your mentality focused on what you CAN do rather than what you CANNOT do makes a big difference on your attitude. Those visual techniques of seeing yourself at your goal (in your mind) helps as well. hmmmm, I think I'm rambling and repeating myself :confused: wombat

    BooBooKitty - do you eat 1/2 cup of meat only or do you have some veggie to go with it? Thanks for your response too :confused: I will start measuring and stopping no matter what. No more snacking in between either - it would be a great time for me to actually drink some Water (I fail miserably in this area daily!)

    I'm with you O2BTHIN!!! I've decided I need a fill but my work schedule is going to hold me back from going for a couple of weeks. I am recommitting to eat my protein first. I will NOT have Mexican food because I cannot make a good choice when I go there. Someday I might actually get in all the water I'm supposed to. I'm not a drinker - I barely drink 2-3 glasses a day and that counts taking my morning pills and my coffee!!

    Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!

    Has anyone used ShapelySecrets as an exercise program? I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and haven't received it yet. I don't expect miracles but I would like to get some toning. So far I've been doing planks for my stomach and pushups. Otherwise I'm walking/jogging.

    woohooo Booboo Kitty!!! That is so awesome for you :confused: I'm with Julie with that last 35#. Any tips, secrets you can share would be greatly appreciated. I am going to set up another fill. Even though I struggle with Breakfast I can eat too much the rest of the day. I'll just have to drink Protein shakes for breakfast. The doubt does start to creep in about whether or not I can make it all the way so I truly thank you for your post of encouragement!! You LOOK FANTASTIC!!!!!! wombat

    I live in McKinney - North of Dallas. I had my surgery done in Houston and travel back there for my fills. What part are you from TexGrly? I only run outside right now. I go to the jr.high up the street and use their track. It has that foamy stuff on it so I think that helps my joints a bit. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in my feet and hands so I try to be sensitive to the beating they are taking. Even still I have to wear really comfy shoes the next day to give my feet a rest.

    way to go pleasantlake!!!!! I'm not going to tell you not to worry about your first fill because everyone does until they go through it. I would say ask for them to numb the area just to help you get through it. My first one went fine w/o any numbing. It's a funny feeling when you can feel it tightening. Not gross or painful - just funny :confused: The second one hurt a bit because the nurse's hand slipped so now I get numbing every time. You only get it if you ask for it or at least w/ my doc. On a side note: I've decided that I must go for another fill. I ate a whole order of chicken nuggets and a small chili at wendy's tonight. It's time for fill #5!!! I still have trouble eating Breakfast so I guess that means liquids for breakfast for awhile.

    yep I eat it all. One of my favorites is rice noodles; you can get it with shrimp since you don't like the chicken or red meat. I love all the soups; dim sum - all of it really. I can still eat it all; I don't eat fried rice any more or the lo mein just because I shouldn't - not because I can't :confused: I had some for lunch today - enjoy!!! wombat

    That's amazing whosya!!! I was ecstatic that I was not in pain after the second jogging day of week 1. I hurt so bad after the first one. Day 3 week 1 happens tonight and I'm ready to move on! I haven't broken a sweat but it's stinkin cold outside right now

    Cost of band fill

    That would be a great price for a fill. The cheapest I've seen is $150 all the way up to $500. Some docs want $1000 up front for three fills etc. Mine are included in the original cost for the first year so I haven't paid for any yet, but I've been researching for when my "free" year is up.

    One boiled egg = 77 cal; 5g fat; 1 carb; 6g Protein I used fitday.com to do my food but then I purchased their download program. It was a little easier for me to work with on the PC rather than the net.
