    Hair issues--help!

    I got the highlights to hide my scalp as well :wink: I've been using the head and shoulders mentioned above. My hair loss stopped at that point but only the very front at the bangs is growing back - so far. I have lots of little sprigs of hair right in the front (little hard to hide). I can't wait to have them sticking up on the top of my head! :tongue: wombat

    Yep - so I'm technically losing weight because my clothes are looser but the scale doesn't show a weight loss because I gained muscle.

    I gave up my addiction to diet coke (of 18yrs) 2 weeks before I got the band. I didn't want to deal with withdrawal and the band at the same time. I haven't had one since then. My doc does not recommend any carbonation.
  8. Works for me I don't eat much fruit but bananas are certainly filling. I have to buy the mini bananas and I still can't eat a whole one. So shakes, water and fruit it is!!!!! woohoooo!!! I already warned DH - looks like the fam will be foraging or having sandwiches :eek:

    Welcome Ashley You have done FANtastic since getting banded!!! Candy - so glad you can get in for fills!! Some people have to wait months. I can get in usually within a couple of day. However, I have to drive 4.5 hours to get there :eek: It's my busy season at work so I have to choose carefully. I'll be going next week to get snugged up - come oooooon weight loss UGAGIRL - what a blessing to have a Christian doc as well!! I can only imagine the peace that comes with knowing the doc is also relying on God! Hugs & Prayers, wombat

    Ok did Week 2 Day 2 yesterday Much easier than Day 1!! I peeked at Week 3 and that has me a little nervous trying to run 3 min straight! EEGADS!!! I must be sick - I'm really starting to enjoy this and I look forward to my jogging day!! (no stones please - I bruise easily :eek:) wombat

    Yep - if you don't want to cut more calories then it has to be exercise. I eat around 700-900 calories a day. If I go over 1,000 then I stop losing. I have just now started exercising - it wasn't something I was looking forward to. I can see a difference in my tone and it's only been 2 weeks. I haven't lost any weight but I know I'm gaining muscle :eek: Good luck to you!! wombat

    What's your meal plan?

    I usually eat quite a bit more than what I posted; It's that TOM and I'm tight. I PB'd the fish on Tuesday and the Caesar Salad on Wednesday. So I'm eating VERY slow right now. I'm scheduled for a fill next week but if it doesn't let up, I may have to cancel and stick with my new found restriction. Right now I'm averaging about 800 cal a day. The problem is that I can't make it to the next meal w/o a snack.

    Ok - here's mine for the week so far MON B - slimfast S - almonds & brazil nuts L - 1/2c chicken breast, 1/4c rice S - pretzels D - 1/2c shrimp, broccoli, Water chestnuts, 1/4c rice TUE B - slimfast L - 3oz fish, broccoli S - pretzels S - Lowcarb yogurt D - chicken salad WED B - slim fast L - Chicken caesar salad (2.5 oz chicken) S - pretzels S - carrot cake (doggone birthdays at work) D - zucchini & canadian bacon - 1/2c THUR B - 2 eggwhites, 2oz egg sub, 1/4 hash browns L - 2oz rotisserie chicken, 1/4 yuca

    Smilin'Apple - you are doing fantastic!!!! Have you gotten your first fill? How is restriction? Go as often as the doc will let you if you need to!!! At one point I was going back to the doc every 4 weeks. I've actually gone 2 months this time but will be going back again next week for fill #5. If I get hungry between meals AND my weight loss stops - I make an appointment. This is a tool that we have been blessed with and I want it to work God bless you all today!!! wombat

    question about getting a TT

    I have all the stretch marks which just adds to the look. It's getting soft and squishy :faint: (I really wanted to find the barfing smiley but couldn't ) I'm also an apple so most of that 35-40# is in my stomach. I HATE being an apple!!!

    I saw that one last night too I definitely want a TT and breast lift. The more I lose the more my husband is agreeing that I will need one. I don't look like the girl last night only because I need to lose another 35-40 pounds. Then I will look like a little sharpei The show mentioned 4 weeks for recovery time. I would like to know how this compares to having a c-section. I had two of those and could handle it no problems. Anyone with a TT ever had a c-section that can comment? wombat

    God Bless you Pepsi!!! You have taken the first step It is fabulous to have your DH support as well. I, too, used to wonder about my faith if I couldn't put it in God's hands and take care of it. But as it's been said many times on this thread, God gave man the ability to do this procedure so why should we not use it to help us? I have been with my pastor for 23 years and he supports me on this as well. He knew me back when I was a snotty teenager all the way till I was at 206 at 5'0". Aside from my DH, he has been a big supporter and encourager of my progress. May God bless you and your family according to His purpose today wombat
