  1. I see. Odd that the milk I drink has 6 grams of sugar in 125ml and I don't seem to have an issue with that. I am praying and hoping I'm not one who will dump on most things I eat. As for hypoglycemia, I hadn't eaten very much that day and felt extremely hungry when I ate that jello. They gave me Chewable Centrums which I find very sweet. Obviously I can't stay away from all sugar right? The would be nearly impossible. Am I making too much of this and panicking for nothing? Thanks again.
  2. I'm post op, day 5. I was feeling hungry at and lightheaded at 8pm because I didn't eat very much for supper as I felt full. I had sugar free jello with protein powder mixed in as my snack at 8pm. About 20-30 minutes later I suddenly felt even more lightheaded and slightly warm and panicky and a slight headache. Is this dumping? Could it be something else? Thanks.
  3. Hi all. I'm post op 4 days. Just wanted to let you know I made it through.

Going in for surgery in the A.M.

Good luck! You will be fine.
  5. Thank you for the positive support. Let us know how you're doing.
  6. Well, here I am, mixed emotions with regards to having surgery. I certainly don't enjoy the extra weight, sleep apnea, sore backs, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and low self esteem. However, just thinking about being operated on in such a permanent way is taking its toll on me. I can feel the anxiety building. I'm mostly worried about complications, malabsorption issues after surgery or in the long term and dumping syndrome I hear so frequently about. My emotions are in a bit of a "yo-yo" mode as I was giving my operation date a couple of days ago. Can anyone relate to how I'm feeling, and how did you deal with it?
