Yes! And I've also noticed I don't get that tired "2:30 in the afternoon I want to nap" feeling anymore! And I require less sleep at night. It's wonderful. -

Yesterday was my 8-week post op-a-versary. I weighed myself and I'm down 39 pounds Although I notice if I weigh myself throughout the day my weight fluctuates so I like to weigh myself as soon as I get up before I eat or anything because it's usually the lowest -
Fluids are extremely important. As for pantry items you can have after the first couple weeks: Fat Free refried beans, canned chicken and tuna, low fat mayo, low fat cream soups (like cream of chicken, etc). But don't go overboard yet because it'll likely be a month or so before you're really able to eat anything more than a few bites. You'll find yourself with a lot of leftovers. Best of luck!

I had Cheeseburger "cupcakes". They're so tasty, probably my new favorite meal. I use ground turkey though. http://www.emilybite...r-cupcakes.html -

Today I had a piece of chicken topped with tomato sauce & ricotta cheese. Tasted like chicken parm. And a handful of fresh blueberries in a dollop of yogurt -

Sounds like a lot of people on this thread are really struggling lately and could use some cheering up and positive vibes sent their way. Anyone have some good news to share? RNY related or not? I'll start... It's Friday!! -

Hubby and I went out to dinner for an early Valentines since I have class tomorrow. I ordered the French Onion soup and a chicken philly (w/o bread). I filled up on soup and only ate a few bites of my "sandwich"--which was delicious. Boxed up the leftovers and accidentally left them in the restaurant What a bummer & waste of money. -
I noticed today that when I exercise more than just walking on the treadmill I start to feel light headed and my muscles feel weak. Does anyone else get this feeling or know what's causing it? I signed up for personal training and I'm afraid of fainting...

I put on a shirt about 3 weeks post op that was so tight before surgery and it fit so nicely. That's when I really noticed that I was losing, because even now at 8 weeks I still can't really see it on myself, but others comment. I've also noticed my pants are getting bigger, and not just jeans, but my yoga pants that I've LIVED in are getting baggy in the thigh area. I'm going to have to shop soon I think -

I experience this all the time!! I've noticed a significant improvement in how much I'm able to eat, but I still struggle daily with getting in more than 32oz water. Weird, isn't it?? -

I've had the Atkins Chocolate caramel ones. They're kind of icky. Have a funky chemically after taste -
I overdid it at the gym. Decided to do a 45 min cycling class...huge mistake! My legs were like rubber when I was done and I could barely walk, my friend had to help me back to the locker room. They still feel weak. I made sure to have a really high protein dinner after, but I think I'm going to call my dr or nut tomorrow to see what the recommend

Joined a new gym today. I joined Planet Fitness pre-op but never really felt connected or had the desire to go (mostly because I a. made excuses and b. it wasn't really convenient to get to.) The new gym I joined is a local chain and has 3 locations specifically for women. They had a great deal going 3 free months and 12 personal training sessions. Plus they create a fitness plan just for me that they update every 6 months. My first PT session is tomorrow. I'm excited to have someone else keep me accountable and whip my heiney into shape. I also shared my surgery story with my class tonight in school. We were discussing a counseling theory & the professor asked if anyone had a personal example that would apply. I'm not sure why I shared, and afterward I felt weird, like it was inappropriate. I don't really know why I felt that way either, because I got positive responses, I guess maybe I'm just still nervous people will have that stigma of "oh she's just trying to get skinny quick." It doesn't bother me when people know I've had surgery, in fact I'm often quite open about it (sometimes I feel like I talk about it too much and people are like--ok we get it, you had surgery, big deal!) but for some reason after I shared with my class that I went through it I wish I hadn't. Oh well, it's out in the open now!! -

The hair loss is inevitable. It happens to everyone unfortunately. I'm not looking forward to it either, but I've learned I'll just have to cope an it's only temporary. It happens around 3 mos post op. I take Biotin to help slow the loss and so hopefully I won't lose too much, but from what I've read and my doc said, we can't really avoid it -
