Hey everyone.. Is there anyone in the corpus chrsiti area that has been banded? I was banded last year may 2007 almost a year. Its been a slow year for me. Summer after surgery was great, but slowed down when school started up.. so hopfully this summer i can get back on track.. school is just so stressful and i have straid away from my diet. very hard with not a set schedule.. well is anyone in the area we can get together and get on track.. felicia:smile:

Hey eveyone.. yes long time since ive posted.. Been busy with school full time and working fulltime too... I ve been having the same problem, i have lost 50 pounds so far and feel im at the stage right now where im losing slowing or not losing at all. Im young 28 and still love to go out dancing and drinking with my friends. This has been very hard for me especially the past few months. I was doing fine when i was in "LOVE" but that has ended and i have lost my foucus. I keep trying to start over, but its hard. I hate going to dinner with friends, becuase i cant eat like them and it sadens me. This may will be 1 yr and i hope to have lost 75 pounds, so i need 25 more to go. I will be checking the site often for support. i just go off the wagon just need a little help back on.. Thanks for letting me VENT!!! Felicia

Ok i though i was the only one dealing with this problem. i have 1.8cc righ now in my band, and i can eat pretty m uch anything, certain breads do make me sick to eat, and other foods aswell. If i eat fast i feel the pain and do get the pb'ing symptom...I have not got going on 3 months already, problems with my doctor leaving but thats another blog!! haha... but everyone keeps saying that im not at my sweet spot yet.. could be.. but ive not gained anything either i have lost 12 pounds in the past 2 1/2 months so thats not bad, i guess im still doing great.. well good luck ya!

hI EVERYONE.. Im not from san antonio , Corpus Christi actully, but i was banded in San Antonio By Dr. L. Steggeman from weight wise, now he is new dimension.. I was banded on may 16, 2007 started at 288 and now down to 252 as of today.. WOOgooome LOL.. Glad to find local bandsters...

My reply is really not about yoga,.. but i was afraid to do crunches and i told the nurse that does my fills and thaught it was funny, saying its okay to do cruches just listen to your body thats all.. Also im on a womens kickball team and i got hit couple time on my port area,.. is that bad..

Hey everyone! Im a pastry chef, and i posted a thread and then saw this. I just got my band 3 months ago and im able to eat food yea! haha... Just like the reply before me, food is just work and i dont see it as eating.. I do taste what i make and someimtes i feel guilty a little bit.. i taste becuase i have too.. and i only eat twice a day with nibbing through out.. but i find it alittle hard on my part.. but im tying to work on it..

Hey everyone well i was banded on may 16, 2007. I was so glad to have it done and sometimes feel i cant believe it either. i have lost already 35 pounds, i think im the good track. My question is, if you chefs out there had the band, is it hard for you all to not pick on the food. I mean i have cinnamom rolls, pastries ect. in the morning and i have to pick on the just a bit. I also tast things while im cooking them at the restaurant. i find this very hard to stop. So is anyone having any problems with this?? What should i do. Im going on my 4th fill in a couple weeks and im not feeling much restriction so i know i need more Fluid in my band.. Help@!!! ChefsS!!!!:hungry:

Hey Scarlet121! I to am having the same problem sort of. I had my surgery in may this year and ive had 3 fills already up to 1.8 cc in my band. I still am able to eat everything, bread pasta rice dont make me sick like they say! There were complications with my docotor leaving to another company so i have to wait for my 4th fill, and im going to ask for a whole cc or somthing more. But i have lost already 33 pounds! Yea me! i wish it was more qucikly but i think im on a good track! I still get the sweet cravings but not like before i still eat a burger from micky d's with no problem. But i do feel the pain when i eat too quickly, so i know the band it there. haha.. Well Good Luck with it.. I just want to be a size 12 already! HAHAH...

I just got band on May 2007, i have lost 33 pounds to date. I read you blog and was curious how did you tell your band had slipped. are there any signs or anything?
