Going back to basics. Been stalled since I started soft foods. 4 wks now:(. Heading back to shakes for a week to break the stall. I get 6-8 hundred cals a day, 60-70 protein, and 50-65 oz of fluids. I exercise 5-6 times a week, but stuck in a stall. Nut says to just quit thinking about it, but I'm hitting shakes 4AW anyway. She weighs like 7 lb's and doesn't understand that I want this scale to move baby!

Think i dumped tonight:( Had about 1/2 turkey burger patty. Maybe 2 - 2.5 oz. I had one last week without issue, but this time i started feeling weak, dizzy, nauseated and sickish! My blood sugar was 125 so it wasn't the problem. Lasted about 45 min. I swear it seemed like i couln't even stand. I just wanted to lay on something couch, floor, bed of nails it didn't matter. No pain just yuck!

Stop sugar coating! I bought three flavors. Lemon, grape, and cherry. Cherry was the one i finally got down. If i had to do that again i'd ... ... ... Well i'd do something i'm sure of it!

Why RNY and not the sleeve?

I've had both done! So I can sort of speak to this:). The sleeve did'nt cure my blood sugars although I lost 60lbs. Had revision to RNY to fix blood sugars. I now prefer if bad things will occur if I stray from my diet. Sugars are coming down as more weight comes off. I'd have saved a lot of $$$ going RNY to begin with, but I thought I could control myself with small bites of sweets. I was wrong and paid for it.

    Type ii diabetic

My sugars have been slowly dropping post-opt, but it hasn't been an overnight cure as i had hoped. I think the fat i'm burning is putting sugar in my blood cause it isn't in the food i'm eating. By not eating at all i can raise it which, to me, proves it coming from fat being burned. Pre-opt i ran 280+ on sugars as a norm and once as high as 545! Very dangerous and out of control! Surgury 12/27/12 Now in the afternoon i'm 120-135 and morning 140's. It's still dropping 15-20 points or so a week so in a few weeks i hope to be basically normal. I am on no meds for it and wasn't pre-opt either.

    Doing a 5K..whaaaat?

I have. I ran one last Oct before my 2nd surgury. Using 'C25K' app to train up again. On week 4 now. In early 90's when i was in HS i ran 1/2 & full marathons. One tip i have is to not do all your running in doors. The streets are alot diff! Hills, curbs, wind, etc. try to mix indoors with outside so its not such a shock cause outside is a bit tougher.

Found a lil crunch! These are awesome! They crunch and turn to mush in you're mouth! I found mild cheddar and veggie! Both are great! In the baby section. No real value to a diet, but if you're wanting crunch these are really not bad!
  8. I had mine on a friday, but really it's when your surg operates that defines it the most. I was still pretty weak mon-weds of that next week. By about thurs my energy was back. You might be still weak on tues to do all those things. Don't get me wrong worst thing you can do is sit and do nothing, but maybe line up a friend or family member up as backup in case you're not up to it.

    Couch to 5K

Just repeat a day or week that you have issues with. You can do it. I've used it once before and it works.

If by less restrictive you mean no dumping and you can still eat anything then yes if is. I lost 75lb gained back only 15lb, but my old habits returned. Mostly due to diet my blood sugars started climbing again. Since self-control isn't my strong suit I choose to make make bad things occur if I make bad food choices. So, for me, more restrictive was the exact reason.

Bentonville. Had RYN done at Mercy. Actually it was a revision from a sleeve he did back in 2010.

BTW was it Josh Roller that did your surgury? Some one said Dr Roller in a post. He's my DR.

I did as well. 2 days after. My dr said that tissue has nothing to stop blood moving/pooling so if you bleed it will bruise bad. Mine was huge, but is clearing now. Was worrisom in the beginning. 12/27/12 was my surgury date. Starting a program called C25K. It's a phone app that helps you train to run a 5k over 9wks. Plan on repeating wks as needed;)
