Enoxaparin sodium injection

With diarrhea I would contact your doctor just to be safe. Make sure you let them know about the swollen gland and how long you have had it. Keep us updated.. -

I would just watch it if you start to have other sign and symptoms of illness or it really starts to hurt I would contact your doctor. Swollen lymph nodes can be a sign of infection or something else but I have also seen people get like a clogged node and it goes away on its own. I would also contact if it doesn't go away -
I can definitely see a difference. First off you mid section is smaller. Second your face and neck are slimmer.. I think it is hard for us to see the difference initially because we look at ourselves and are living it...

Well, you might have been eating to fast, eating to big of a bit. I have found you have to take really small bites and chew until it is puree in your mouth..

I can't tell what I'm feeling :-/

My first 13 to 14 days I had no hunger really. I just measure 1/4 of whatever and ate it a few times a day. I had a lot of problems with Protein drinks. The ones I could drink prior to surgery made me nauseous after. I don't seem to have a milk intolerance but don't care for milky Protein Drinks. I found unjury has two I like a chicken soup/broth 100 cal 21 g protein. and strawberry sorbet then mix with crystal light lemonade. I also like nectar syntrex ones. Fuzzy navel, strawberry kiwi and tropical mango just mix with Water. i ordered from Vitalady and she has samples so you don't have to buy a big jug and the unjury you can order from unjury.com and they also have samples.. Don't worry once you start getting more solid foods you will be able to tell when you are full. Good Luck -

Well, any pain in chest associated with eating and drinking is usually a result as too big of drink/bite. If you continuously have that pain in chest with eating and food is not going down you would need to call your surgeon as this could be a stricture which is a common complication. Papya enzyme is also something you should have on hand if you feel like something is stuck as it will break it down. Initially, you don't have much feeling at all. I knew when i was nauseated and had Zofran for that another must if nausea is common for you. Once you are onto solid food eat slow and chew, chew, chew. I still like to semi measure stuff out and always try not to eat everything. I am a little weird about that. I only eat when I am hungry which is 2-3 times a day. I make sure i drink a Protein drink which took me forever to find ones I liked. How far out are you?? what stage of eating are you in?? -
Diet soda is a no no for almost every program but maybe yours is different. Only being two months out is usually too early to even think about alcohol. I know most program suggest at least six months. I would really talk to your surgeon regarding this. liquid courage is usually not a good thing anyway.

how long after the surgery does it take Weightloss?
nienie replied to changingme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You might have gained weight with all the IV fluids pumped into you. Everyone is different but you should start noticing weight loss soon. Make sure to measure yourself and also see how your clothes are fitting. -

I also was allowed to take 15 ml which is equivalent to a 7.5/500 mg tab- which is fairly good dose. For those that aren't getting good pain control you may need to ask for a different medication. The left side is going to hurt fairly bad but everyday should get better. This is due to the fact that they really torked on that muscle with the equipment used for the surgery. I just know the more you move the better it will get. Just remember you have had major surgery. I do know that after I got my stitches out i had almost NO pain. The stitches really started to pull and made it very uncomfortable. -

I am an RN and it is normal that they can sting. Make sure you are away from belly button and pinch your adipose tissue (fat) and inject. The problem is we can't tell well the nerves ending are and running so sometimes you will hit these and it will sting. You are doing nothing wrong. I only had heparin injection while I was in the hospital the first four days-three times a day, nothing once I was home. Hope this helps.. -
How far out from surgery are you? My surgeon suggests no alcohol for first six months because of healing, empty calories. Then he has stressed to be very careful because you can get drunk faster and transfer addictions. what are you drinking?? Depending on how far out you are from surgery would determine how I would personally answer the question is it really bad? As long as you are far enough out and not drinking a lot I don't see a problem. I just wouldn't make it a habit and if you can go without alcohol it would be much healthier and better for you

I actually had to sleep in recliner for first 13 days. I am a side sleeper and with stitches couldn't get comfortable in bed. My surgeon sent my home with liquid hydrocodone that i could take every three hours. Worked pretty good. Maybe you need to call your surgeon and let them know that your not getting much pain relief and see if they can get you something different. Remember your parents didn't have surgery and you are going to have to get used to being around people eating foods you can no longer eat or should eat if you want your wls to be successful. I would just go to another room and sip on something to drink.. Hope you feel better soon... -
I have PCOS too for 6 years more mild- yes this works.. I am doing great. almost five weeks out and have lost 30 pounds. Don't get stuck on a number. Work the program like it was designed per your surgeon. Remember to measure yourself also as sometimes we dont see the scale move but we are losing inches..

Just hang in there. It will get much better. My surgeon has us in the hospital for 3 nights so I was in tough shape from Thursday-Sunday. I then went home and slept the first three days away. By the second week was better and every week has improved. Just a small hiccup in your recovery.. -
Here's the entire article for anyone interested... http://www.livestrong.com/article/476921-how-much-protein-can-you-absorb-at-one-time/
-
Yes you could. I just hope that you are also getting protein from food and not just the shakes..
-
I have read that we don't digest much more then 30 or so g at one time.. I found this when reading... Protein itself is not absorbed by your body. Instead, Protein is converted to amino acids during the digestion process, which are then absorbed into your bloodstream, where they eventually reach your muscles, organs and other tissues. Different sources of protein are absorbed at varying rates. For instance, one of the fastest-absorbing protein sources is whey. According to researcher Helen Kollia, whey protein is absorbed at a rate of 8 g to 10 g per hour, so it would take about three hours to absorb a 30 g whey Protein shake. However, she notes that whey protein passes through the intestinal tract in about 1.5 hours, so in this case, 15 g of whey at once is the ideal amount to consume for maximum absorption. Consuming more than this amount in one sitting would simply get excreted from the body. Read more: http://www.livestron.../#ixzz2MKWIn38R

January 2013 Post Op
nienie replied to ready2smile's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there. I also had my period for almost three weeks on bcp and I was frustrated but it finally went away. Our bodies get so screwed up after surgery. My guess is the stress of your husband leaving isn't making matter worse. I have found that I pay no attention to what others are losing. I will be five weeks out and have lost around 30 pounds which is more then I would have been able to ever lose prior to surgery. Just remember slow and steady wins the race-lol. I also find measuring and just knowing that my clothes are fitting differently is huge. Keep your eye on the big prize (goal weight). Keep working your program your surgeon and his staff have designed and follow all instructions as much as you can you will do fine. Also spend as much quality fun time with hubby as you can before he leaves and think how much smaller you will be when he comes back... I have found when I am feeling down I put on some of my favorite music and clean and or organize something (ie drawer- junk). crazy but it gives me time to think. So do something that makes you happy. Hope your day gets better.... -
Kiwi strawberry nectar- also good. I have found that I put more the the 4 oz of water they suggest starting with. I put between 8-12..I bet some crystal light mixed in would make an awesome drink...
-
I got my Nectar yesterday and it is not that bad. I tried fuzzy naval and it didn't make me nauseous like the milky tasting ones do. I am going to try kiwi strawberry today.. Still love unjury chicken broth-my absolute favorite..
-
You can buy unjury in packs to test first before buying a big bottle of it. i would highly suggest that.
-
Your very welcome-anytime...

Just like I thought everyone's stages are different. You just have to follow what your program wants like you are doing. You got this!!!
-
I think the stages are different for everyone bc stage two for me was full liquids ie oatmeal, yogurt, jello, soup broth or strained soup. Stage 3 for my program is mushy food anything that can be mushed with a fork,
-
17 pounds in one week is TONS of weight. I would keep doing what you are doing. Hide the scale if you have to for a bit and go with measurements and how your clothes feel. Glad she was able to reassure you. Every program is so different. So, I wouldn't worry about comments about people stating they couldn't eat this or that until x months. I am 5 weeks out and still on stage 3 which is foods that can be easily mashed with fork. Some people 5 weeks out are eating regular food. You are doing what YOUR program expects from you. Sure hope you start to see that scale move soon...
