Will be praying for you!!! You'll do great! New day, new beginning !
-
Frogjlr I understand. It'll be over with soon. I still can't believe I'll be 3 months post op on the 17. Remember to walk as much as you can after surgery. Laying in bed will do nothing to help with recovery. And let those who want to help you help.

"Frogjlr" I'm feeling nervous and excited and ready and then nervous again. Ooooohhhhh. I hate needles. Prayers please You definitely have my prayers. I felt the same way the day before my surgery.

I want to wish you all the best of luck on your surgeries. I know how you feel....anxious about waiting for dates and waiting for the date to come.

In the beginning I did because I was in pain and couldn't sit up by myself. But now I have so much energy and feel younger than what I am....no I do not regret my decision to have RNY.

My name is Kristin. I had RNY 10-17-12. I am almost 3 months post op. I was having issues in the beginning with keeping things down and the smell of cooking meat. I have lost 57 pounds since having surgery. I weighed 254 and now weight 197. I have more energy than before. I'm able to play Dance Central on the kinnect w my children. I still have Hashimotos disease....which is a type of hypothyriodism. I'm glad I made this decision with my pcm. My husband is in the Military so I had my RNY done at a military treatment facility. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am now taking care of myself for a change.

I'm glad you're doing better. -
To check your bloodwork and go over anything else that the doctor may think is important.

That's what I heard too. I had the minimal invasive surgery. I have 6 small scars. It was the best decision I have ever made for my health. It's only been 3 months but I'm used to not eating a lot. My friends are surprised on how little I do eat.

It is a good book to have on hand before and after surgery. I was debating on the lap band in the beginning but I just couldn't get past the needle being inserted every so often. I also couldn't get past the foreign object in my body and the possibility of it slipping.

I feel you Amanda! I waited 8 months to get mine. The restrictions aren't so bad. You just have to get creative. I'm trying to incorporate Atkins into my diet. Its a life change! Have you read Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies? Its a great book!
