Does anyone know of a website that will let you put in your favorite foods and then make a meal plan from that? I know of a few that make meal plans for you like sparkpeople, but those usually have mostly foods I don't want to eat lol.

What made you choose the bypass over the sleeve? My doctor asked me today why I wanted bypass-and of course my boyfriend shot up said something dumb lol. I said because I know other people who have had great results.

1 year anniversary to the new me!

It won't be till July at the earliest. I have to complete a 6 month diet thing first-yack. I've just started doing the aerobic thing every other day. I would love to go outside and walk but it is like 17 degrees here with a wind chill of 8. Do you have any kids? I have a clingy 10 month old, so he makes it pretty hard to get a chance to get anything in-I usually wait for him to go to bed. I am hoping by the time after surgery and he will be almost a 1 year and a half, it won't be as bad. -

My initial visit with the surgeon is tomorrow. I went and seen my PCP on the 21st to get my referral. He took the paper, said he'd take care of it etc. I started my 6 month supervised diet on the 21st too. I called today to check to make sure they had faxed it over and neither place acted like they knew what I was talking about!! I called my PCP twice and the first time they couldn't find the nurse that handles that, then the second time they would make it high priority and get it done tomorrow. To top that, I was actually suppose to have the form with me according to the paperwork-but they insisted on faxing it over. If I don't have that referral I don't get my appointment. My boyfriend had to take off work to go with me, because they require your support person be there. It would def suck to have it cancelled because they couldn't send over one form. GRRRR

if you had to complete a 6 month diet
Amanda R replied to Amanda R's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They didn't make you make goals? I just started my 6 month diet last week, and he said the next time I come in, which is next week-I need to bring my food and exercise log, plus my diet and exercise goals with how much weight I want to lose in such in such time. I am trying to think of a realistic number. Last week it's been just tracking what I eat, now I am going to track how much I eat as well. It's hard because while I'm doing this I am also having my 'food funeral' too. -
Does anyone know of any exercises that can do while watching a 10 month old? I tried taking him out for a walk, but it is 19 degrees here.

How long can I expect to be off of work?
Amanda R replied to kcreed's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is also a question I am wondering as well. I will be working as a merchandiser, and would love just to take the week off as well. -

I just started my 6 month diet-and my doctor pretty much just threw me on it, said keep track of what I eat with no real guidance. I realized after keeping track, I consume upwards of 2,500 calories a day! Now the problem, I am def a volume eater. When I eat, I eat alot at once-and to be honest, don't know how to stop. For instance this is what I ate today;- Breakfast Protein bar special k lunch ham cheese sandwich med vanilla latte-mcdonalds dinner baked potato-cheese, bacon salad cheese bacon, ranch dressing, onion banana pudding snack 2 chicken and cheese hot pockets and through out the day I ate 9 of the wafer Cookies with the creme in them...im terrible drinks diet mt dew- 20oz coffee with sf creamer-4 cups I have no idea what to do-I know what I should be doing, but have no idea how to get there
