My surgery center said if we submitted too early and got denied you have to "appeal" to get it accepted once your time is up, and it takes a really long time. I'd rather just wait it out and not risk it. My surgery date is April 16th. -

Yep. Because it is a surgery requirement. It feels like it has been slow, but I think looking back once it is all over it will seem fast. -

I had a 3 month period also. I got everything else done super fast, but the wait is the worst. The best thing they were able to do for me was schedule my surgery for the day my 3 months was up. -
My Nut said that straws cause us to swallow extra air. But if it's making it possible to drink... I say go for it.

How long from first appointment to surgery?

My orientation was in November, first appt with surgeon was Jan 16th, and surgery is april 16th. I had to do a 3 month supervised diet. I would have been done with all of my requirements after 1 month if it wasn't for the 3 month diet. -

I'm still pre-op too, but I've been using the Garnier Fall Fight shampoo and can tell its helping with hair loss. I got the tip from a friend who is a few months post-op and has significantly slowed the hair loss with the shampoo. -
Hmm. I'll have to try again, I thought about adding some crystal light to it too.

I can't put myself in your shoes, because I'm married, but because I am married to such an amazing supportive man, I encourage you to wait for somebody who loves you inside first. They're out there. He makes me feel more beautiful than I could imagine, and my weight loss will only enhance that. -

I did HCG also and lost 28 lbs in 30 days. Its super hard, but doable. I used the totallyhcg brand of drops. -

I am sending one of my friends a surgery week care package. If someone had sent you one of these, what kind of things do you wish had been in it? -
I tried fuzzy navel and apple ecstacy. I didn't like either of them! I felt like they needed some sort of sourness to them. Also, the smell really bugged me. lol

I've found a great small group of girls on my wordpress blog, and we have become a great support group for eachother. Our sugery dates are all within the next 2 months. If anyone is interested in getting involved with us, let me know, and follow my blog.

That's hilarious! I mean, its scary, but I've never heard of such a thing. That is so odd. I'm interested to hear if anyone else has had this issue.

I got mine yesterday and was seriously disappointed.

I'm 21 also, and married to my high school sweetheart. Marriage isn't always easy. Its hard work, and sometimes not fun. We all change as we age, but you can grow and find yourselves together. If you love him at all, work it out. I'd hate to see a marriage ruined because you needed some space to find yourselves. Not many marriages can bounce back from that. All the trust is gone, and hard to gain back.

Once you are skinny and beautiful(er) they will be putting their feet in their mouthes. Just wait. -
So exciting!! That would be good to get the gallbladder out at the same time. I really wanted mine out (even though I don't have symptoms), because its so common to need it out after surgery. But my surgeon said no. lol
