I have to use Levasin. Zofran didn't help me. My nausea and vomiting was due to espoigial and stomach spams. So if zofran dosen't work for ya. It might be something like that.

I had my surgery back in October Still throw up on a regular basis (daily). No strictures. I did have fistulas early after my RNY. They finally figured out I was having esophagial and pouch spasms, they put me on a Medication called Levisin. It is for spasms specifically. I feel a lot better not perfect but getting better. Just some info.

You don't know how much this made me feel reading your post. I feel likle I have had every complication in the universe. Esophigial fistulas , gastric spams, esophigial spasms, nerve damamage in bak fractured rib(from vomititng). Everytime I was sent to the hospital they made feel Like I was med seeking( made me feel horrible) I know am tube fed. went threw 2 j-tubes had thos fall out do to absesses. I had to have a peg tube surgically put in. I have know had to file for disablitity. I am also waiting for my fiance to high tail it. Thank you for sharing your story I know it is no help tp you. But you don't understande how it has helped to know I am not alone.

Bethel I won't say it gets easier, butyou just get more use to it. I am going 6 months with mine. My dr says my body is in starvation mode so it is hard to lose weight. The medication I am on also dosen't help. Hope all is well with you . need anything just message me. kelly

Hi Bethel, I basicallt stay hooked up to the pump most of the day, I can only be of it for 4 hours . Which basically gives me enough time to work out and do things around my house. Which alot of times I can't I just don't have enough energy. I was very discouraged for awhile (I wn\on't lie to ya) but then i figured"kelly Its time not to have a pitty party, be strong and this will all be worth it in the end) It does get easier you used to it and its just something you have to do. But first I had 2 a j tube and a g tube (a j tube for feeding a g tube drainage. The j tube fell out twicw ( once my fault, once not). It took me a couple weeks to get use to bot th of them abd they stopped hurting after a couple of weeks. But then my j tube became infected and I had an absses at the sight of the J tube. So know I use the g tube which I like MUCH better.. My weight is kind of a tricky question. You see I was in the hospital * tims in Months and each time they pumped me full of Fluid like once I gained 12 pounds in one day. So I will go with my pre op weight I was 309 and know I am 250. My surgery was in October so I have lost weight slow But I tell myself it dosen;t matter I am losing weight. The feeding tube does make it harder in my opinion. Sorry this is so long. I feel like a complete failure I eat, drink water exercise. But the first 4 months I had complications one hospital visit gained 12 ounds just from fluid. Now I am 6 months out still getting tube fed and only down 60 pound from surgery weight(309). Don't really know what to do dr. says I need more calories but than I gain weight vwey frustrating .... I have a feeding tube since 2 months after because of the same reasons still have ie cause can't get my calorie count up. I will worn you don't be suprised when your weight stalls or sincreases. ts a side affect ( as I am told anyway) I have to have 4 cans of jevity a day to keep my calorie count up. Once I can get my calorie count up to 800(which seems easy not so much) I can go down to 3 cans. I hope your experience is much easier than mine. Just know your not alone. Its a hard rode to go.

I just saw your post. I myseld had my surgery in Oct 2012 I have had a lot of complication such as duodialle fistulas, ulcers , j-tube in fections, absesses, and finally put in a g-tube for tube feedings. i the last 4 months I have been in the hospital 8 times. I ask myself everyday did I do the right thing. But I try to stay positive, even when I am hooked up to a feeding tube or cleaning my tubes. Its hard but just try to stay positive. have thought about having it reversed but then all this was for nothing . I honestly believe ehrn I get threw all of this it will be worth it.

Do they carry them at walmart or any grocery stores?
