Im in the same boat surg was 3/18, I've lost 27lbs and have stayed the same for 2 wks....ugh!

So my dr put me on atkins pre op to shrink my liver im only allowed 20g of carbs per day....im not hungry but soooo exhausted could this be because of the low amount of carbs? Anyone else have this prob?

I'm a little discouraged I'm almost 3 weeks out and I haven't lost any weight for the last week I know that your body fluctuates but I don't know why I haven't lost anymore. Honestly I am having trouble getting all of the protein in and getting all of the water in but I don't know why that would stop me from losing weight? Any thoughts? Words of wisdom?

Your tastes are going to change sooo much post op mine was immediate! Flavors I liked before are now waaay to sweet! Id recommend getting the no flavor whey protein and mixing it into soups. Youre going to be VERY tired of sweet sweet sweet!

Wow! Has anyone had an extremely heightened sense of smell! I can smell things even better than when I was pregnant! I can smell things from the other end of the house!

I had my first bm day after surg...it was pretty watery but it counts!

Surgery was yesterday everything went great I had a little post op nausea but it went away after about 20 mins. I was up walking around after couple of hours honestly the pain is not bad at all I would say that my c sections and gallbladder removal was way worse I have hardly any Pain at all. Endoscopy is in about an hour desperately wanting some water! Would have to say craving water us worst part but they're giving me mouth swabs. Ive had no hunger at all. Will keep everyone updated!

Hi everyone! Im soo excited to find this forum. Im 30 yrs old, navy wife and mom to two beautiful boys ages 2 1/2 and 4. Im doing this for myself but for my boys too...they deserve to have a healthy mom thats going to be able to keep up with them. I have Tricare prime and this Thursday will be the end of my 6 month supervised dietary program. Im hoping there are no complications with the authorization since 4/1/13 will be the new transition to UHC for military. I'd hate to do this all again. I will be submitting to tricare at the beginning of the year so please keep your fingers crossed. Currently I am 285lbs and 5'8".

Im on whidbey island! Surgery scheduled for 3/18

My surg is scheduled for 3/18, Im 30 yrs old 5'8 and 290 lbs. Id love to have some other "Marchers" to follow their progress. Im still so shocked that my insurance approved it (3rd times a charm) this all seems surreal to me!
