  1. Happy 40th Birthday amylou07!

  2. Happy 39th Birthday amylou07!

  3. 4 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 4th Anniversary amylou07!

  4. I have the same condition and I had a lap band placed on March 25. I was on Lovenox for 6 weeks following the surgery and as a precaution they placed an IVC filter in mhy femoral artery. I developed four clots during pregnancy (with triplets) following IVF. I was concerned about the strong family history and the previous clots, but they can work around it. My Dr. did keep me overnight following the surgery as a precaution.

    Dr. Garth Davis and Atena???

My employer only allows the option of Dr. Garth or Dr. Robert. I had the surgery on March 25. Aetna approved it with no problems following the required 3 month diet. I have had no issues with either (Aetna or Dr. Davis). If you have any questions, let me know.
  6. Thanks! I have not asked my Dr. about it yet. I'll keep trying.
  7. I have been lurking for some time, but now I am really concerned and I have a question. I have lost ~ 8 pounds since banding and 23 since pre-op. However, over the past four days, I am stuck at the same weight. Nothing seems to move the scales. I am worried and frustrated. Did I do the right thing? Is this going to work for me? Every morning, I weigh the same. During the first week post-op, I saw the scales move daily. I am getting the >75 g protien and consuming less than 600-800 calories per day. I have felt rough, so the exercise has been limited. I know that is one cause, but with such a restrictd caloric intake, what is happening? I saw Dr. Davis on Thursday and everything is healing nicely. My first fill is scheduled for 05/08/08. Right now, I am on purees and mushies. Can anybody give me some input or encouragement that the scales will eventually move? Thanks, Amy:confused:
