    December 2012 Post Op Group

Hi everyone! I havent posted in awhile. All that abdominal pain finally went away after 4 weeks, and I went back to work last Wednesday! I have stalled at 27lbs (5 weeks post op), but I am trying not to get frustrated. Any suggestions? I hope everyone is doing well!

Had a major setback yesterday. Like I said, I was very sore after attempting to go back to work yesterday. All night I was in terrible pain. I had to take off work today. Soon after surgery I had aggravated one of my incision areas. I must have reaggrvated it at work yesterday I'm so discouraged! I can barely walk, I hurt so badly. It's been 3weeks since surgery.

Question: I am on pureed/soft foods. I have been eating tuna and canned chicken w a little bit of mayo to keep it moist. Think it is ok to add some hard boiled egg??

I just started the soft foods phase, and started yesterday by having some cottage cheese for lunch. Everything went well. For dinner, I had cod. That did NOT go quite as well. Despite my best efforts, it got stuck and I had terrible pain and hiccups. I tried orange roughy this evening and the same thing happened, but this time I actually threw up because the food was so stuck!I am a bit discouraged that I am having trouble with such soft food. Anyone else having these kinds of troubles?

Hey everyone! I am 11 days post-op today and it was the first day that I really started to feel like myself again Most of my pain has been gone for awhile, but I have had a couple lingering tender/sore spots that have been giving me trouble. Today I was actually able to walk around almost pain free, and even took myself on a trip to Barnes and Noble! Im so excited, I just felt I had to share with people that understood what I was going through. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Today I am one week post op. I went to the ER on Saturday because I was having severe, burning pain near my belly button. They did a CT and said one of the incisions int he muscle was inflamed, and to rest. So, for the past 2 1/2 days i have done NOTHING!!! Besides this pain, i fee fabulous. All other surgery related pains are almost gone and im keeping down food well. I called the surgeon today cause the pain isnt gettin any better, so I am going in tomorrow. I am nervous. ANyone have this happen to them? I cant sleep in my bed because its hurts so badly!!

Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to the site. Just had my bypass done on 12/31 after having a lap and for 3 years with little success. So far so good. I enjoy reading everyone's input!

  14. I am new to this site as I am getting ready to have the bypass. I have had the band for 3 years, and have had many complications and little weight loss. My surgeon recommended I have the bypass, so here I am! Could anyone give me some feedback about their revisions? I am much more nervous for this surgery then I was for the band!! I would enjoy hearing others' experiences. Thanks!
