Flat Freaked out by food?

Just take it slow. Take a bite, chew like your life depends on it, and wait a few minutes to see how you feel between bites. And honestly, throwing up isn't all that bad. It's a much better experience (for me, anyway) now than it was pre-surgery. There's no bile in your pouch so you don't get the nasty acidly burning. Trust me, I do it all the time -
I started 2 weeks after surgery. At first I was weighing myself every day or every couple days, but I don't want to get used to that and become obsessed with the scale, so now I only weigh myself on the weekend.

I was allowed them in stage 5 (8 weeks). First thing I tried!

Kickstart My Heart is one of my faves. Also downloaded Party Rock Anthem, Girl On Fire andBeat It. I also have some Eminem, Sean Kingston, Dropkick Murphy's, Nickelback, Aerosmith, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Buckcherry, Saving Abel, etc.

I allow myself some treats. It's unrealistic to think that you can just cut everything out and succeed. It can happen, but it's rare. I just find better alternatives. Instead of chips, I get Special K cracker chips or Jax and I limit how much I have. Instead of milk chocolate, I either have dark chocolate or sugar free. For ice cream, I sometimes get the Skinny Cow ice cream bars. I also have never dumped so I just have to make sure I make better choices. My bf is awesome, he'll really crack down on me if he finds I'm eating something I shouldn't. It's annoying but honestly I really appreciate it. I call him the food nazi lol

The "old" stomach

It's still alive and fully functioning. Still creates bile and is reconnected lower on the small intestine where the bile mixes in to break down the food -
Not gonna lie, I'm not even quite sure what dub step is lol

What ya eating tonight?

Depends which one you get. I went through their entire nutritional menu with a fine toothed comb and found 2 that are within my 25g limit if I get them with Splenda. Plus it takes a few hours to drink, it's not all at one sitting. And they can put protein in them too. -

Fabulous February Post-Op's

Hit 50 pounds weight loss since surgery! Total loss so far of 70 pounds. I can't remember the last time I weighed under 350. Probably in middle school lol -
They do but I'm not sure it'll work on bypass patients. Your best bet is to talk to your doctor or surgeon about what methods would be best for you. I was told my best options were Norplant, Nuvaring, or Depo. I'm going with the shot.

I rarely go over 800, usually between 600-800

I recently got some of the Quest protein bars. I have to say, YUM! Great breakfast replacement. Expensive though. Anyone know where these are available for less than $2.75 per bar?

Me too!

Medical Alert Bracelet

Go to www.laurenshope.com I got one on there. They look like regular bracelets. No one needs to know what it's for unless you tell them. -
Yeah we're using them now. We both hate them lol

Me too! But if the shot doesn't work for me it would be my only other option. Definitely not doing an IUD or Norplant.
