    What ya eating tonight?

Smart Ones Chicken Enchiladas. I don't know why, but spicy food goes down better than non-spicy food with me.

    Constipation :(

I haven't...gone...since Thursday or Friday. I feel like I have to but I can't. I also am really tired and keep getting chills. I'm going to try a suppository tonight but if it doesn't work what else can I do? I'm worried I might have to go to the hospital

    Birth Control Problems!

I waited 3 months. Not because of surgery, just to get the appointment to start it. I probably would've started it a month post op otherwise.

    Dumping..

I have been very lucky and haven't dumped on sugar yet. I don't avoid sugar but I limit it. I'll either have 'no sugar added' ice cream or just a very small amount of regular. Skinny Cow makes good ice cream too. I can't stand the taste of fake sugars like Splenda. So I stay away from diet drinks. I use regular sugar in my coffee.

    Constipation :(

I know we can use suppositories but if neither of those work I'd call the surgeon or go to the hospital before trying anything else. I'm worried its from dehydration.
  8. My doctor gave me a prescription for the ring which I'm planning on starting tonight. He described how to use it, but on the written directions the pharmacy put on the package it says to insert a new one every 3 weeks, instead of 4. I know that it's perfectly safe to so this with the pills so I'm assuming it is for the ring as well. I googled it and there is info on doing this safely to skip periods. Anyone do this? I wonder if my insurance company will cover a refill every 3 weeks if that's what the prescription says.

    Nuva Ring & skipping periods

Must've been a typo, they refilled it at 4 weeks.

    How about some NSVs!?!?

2 weeks ago at a family members funeral I was asked by a distant aunt if I'm ok or if I've been sick. I thought that was so funny, and in a weird way it made me feel good

    Why can i hardly eat

Everyone is different. Other people at this point might still be a little numb from the surgery so they can tolerate more. Your pouch right now is only a little bigger than a baby's fist. Be glad you are already able to tell your limits.

    What ya eating tonight?

No, just consider yourself lucky! You'll find something eventually that will bother you, I'm sure.

    Taco Soup

Just made this lady night and can't wait to have some! I did try a little taste and it was delish, though it seems very salty. Not sure what I could do to cut down on the salt. I used 2 cans black beans and ground turkey. Also added a can of diced fire roasted garlic tomatoes.

    Pms cravings! Help!

I've had sugar free chocolate. I've also had regular chocolate. I just have it as a treat once in a great while and in small quantities.

    Amount of food?

It depends on how dense the food is. For dense foods, I can only eat 1/4 to 1/2 cup. For thinner foods, like soups and stuff, I can eat closer to 1 cup.

I so want a bagel or a muffin.

    Non-RNY related womanly question

What about a mixture of peroxide and water? I've never tried it, but I heard it works just the same.
  18. I started Nuvaring and one of the side effects is BV (bacterial vaginitis) which i think I have. No symptoms other than odor. I don't have the time, or especially the $$, to go to the doctor. Are there any remedies that I can try at home?

    Non-RNY related womanly question

Thanks! Since I posted this I've noticed it's only sometimes that I get it, it's not even all the time. So I doubt it's an infection, maybe just a side effect of the ring. I'll definitely check out the rephresh.

    Non-RNY related womanly question

    MONEY. Ugh.

Oh that's supposed to say 'or especially the $'

    Protein bar recommendations?

No problems with sugar so far! I just try to limit the Atkins bars because of the fat and carbs. Quest is definitely the best IMO.

    Soda yes? No?

Haven't been a big soda drinker for years, but once in a great while I need something different. I've had it 3 times since surgery and honestly drank maybe half...if that...and threw the rest out.
