You get used to them. Sometimes I suck on them and let them dissolve. Not so chalky that way.

Yep I take 2 a day. Plus one B12 and a Vitamin D. I also take one cranberry pill a day but that's my personal choice.

If you have trouble finding the right Calcium in the store, Amazon sells bariatric calcium. For multis I take flintstones. Can't take tummies, they dot digest right.

500 mg 3x a day for a total of 1500mg. For life.

That's a good point. And one of the fears I had going into this process. I was scared I'd just be replacing my old insecurities with new ones.

You're right, I've had these insecurities for so long I don't know how to let them go. I just have to suck it up and do it. I know he'll be all about it so no problem there LOL... I have it in my mind that I'm going to get below a certain number and I'm going to feel totally different and all my insecurities are going to vanish. But logically I know that's not going to happen.

I have popcorn all the time and have never had a problem. It's a good low/no calorie snack (if made right). Depends on your surgeon though. -

pookybear replied to Angi281's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told after 2 weeks I could do the treadmill only. After a month I could start weights and pretty much anything else. -

Oh! Tell her to make sure she knows all the terms & conditions of the grants she's applying for. Usually there are restrictions, such as you have to take a minimum number of classes/credits per semester to qualify. I think I'm done now lol I've been paying my loans for 9 years now. Finally have under a thousand left! -

Loans should only be a last resort. It could take years and years to pay them back. Get as much covered by scholarships and grants as you can before even considering loans. They are available, though, if needed. There is plenty of help out there, you just have to dig deep for it. Good luck -

Tell her to apply for grants. Loans have to be paid back but grants don't. If she can get some kind of financial aid it'll help both her and you out a lot. Also there are TONS of scholarships out there to be applied for, most aren't known about widely. She should talk to her high school guidance counselor or a financial advisor for the college she wants to attend. They can get her a list of any scholarships and grants. -

I haven't tried s'mores but I have had a toasted marshmallow. If you have just one it shouldn't be enough sugar to dump on unless you're really sensitive. -
Broke up with a "friend" today

I'm sorry you had to go through that I think most of us have been there in one way or another. In the long run you will be better off, you need people in your life that care for YOU, not just themselves. -

Good ole Campbell's Cheddar Broccoli soup for me. With some added melted cheese to up the yumminess factor. -

I don't taste it as soap but it tastes disgusting to me. I will avoid dishes at restaurants because of it. -
Aw man! I wish I had thought of this when I had mine! My PCP told me he could do it after but I never even thought to ask the surgeon.
-
I'm sure they're making you have one only because it's been so long. Really no other prep other than washing as you normally would with soap and water. Like Soccermomma said, definitely don't use anything more than a normal mild soap and only wash the outside. And it'll be over before you know it. I barely feel anything when they do mine.

Welcome. I've tried several flavors and so far I like them all except the chocolate brownie.
