    PEANUT BUTTER? ?

One of my favorite night time snacks is half a frozen banana with a little peanut butter. In moderation it's good because its high protein. But if you're a PB lover, go with the PB2 for the less fat version.
  2. I use Miralax. I don't use it every day, just maybe once or twice a week or if I feel I need it.

    silly question

You definitely shouldn't. I was not allowed to. Not sure why anyone would want to anyway.
  4. I work for Nestlé and they had ordered 300 pieces of Skinny Cow ice cream, one for everyone here. They screwed up and shipped us 300 CASES of it! It's everywhere! They're practically shoving it down our throats before it all melts! I'm dying here. I had a fruit Popsicle but I've had 7 people beg me to take some home so far. They are not helping me! Lol

    Constipation

I have occasional problems but I keep stuff on hand. I take some Miralax every few days, and I keep suppositories on hand just in case.
  6. 5 1/2 months post op and I find I can eat quite a bit more than I used to. My nut packet says I should eventually be able to eat up to a cup and a half by a year out so I'm not concerned with that. But I don't get physically sick anymore if I eat too much (or maybe I've just learned when to stop so I DON'T get sick) and I always feel hungry. I was keeping almonds in my desk drawer at work so I'd have something healthy to snack on but I stopped because I didn't want to snack too much. I'm thinking maybe I'll start keeping them again because now I constantly feel hungry and without the healthier alternative I'm worried I'll go for the vending machine. I don't know why I'm always hungry though. I'm not sure if its head hunger or not because I don't think about food and then get hungry, I'll just suddenly realize I have that hungry feeling again. I'm worried I'm not going to be as successful at this as I had hoped.

    Fabulous February Post-Op's

If pain is keeping you from eating you should check with your surgeon to make sure there isn't any problems.

    Ice cream everywhere!

Glad there was nothing left for me to be tempted to take though

    Ice cream everywhere!

The animals I work with tool ALL that ice cream! When I left work there was nothing left. Savages!!

    Ice cream everywhere!

I suggested that, the nearest one is too far away it would've melted. They did bring some to the Girl Scout camp down the road though.

    Periods?

Better to be over prepared than under prepared and sorry!

    What ya eating tonight?

I sometimes cut them in half. Still 10g protein.

    iron

Which is why I was asking.

    iron

Can you do a multivitamin that has iron in it? Or is it not enough?

    Coffee

It's less dehydrating than most people think. It is somewhat, but with the liquid you're putting in by drinking it, it pretty much balances out. I would limit the caffeine, though. I alternate between regular and decaf.

    Coffee

I have coffee regularly. Not every day, but whenever I get the craving. Sometimes decaf, sometimes regular.
  17. I don't see why not. I'm sure you could crush it and mix it into a little applesauce. Maybe check with the surgeons office first, just in case.

    How about some NSVs!?!?

Bought a pair of size 2x mesh running shorts at Target today, and they fit!!! I could NEVER have fit into those last year!
  19. .....they have salt & vinegar almonds??
  20. No I haven't. Sounds good though! I've tried the cinnamon ones, which are OK.

    do you drink milk?

Not really, I didn't drink it that much before surgery because of a lactose intolerance. So far I don't think I'm intolerant anymore (kinda weird but stranger things have happened with this surgery) but I'm good without it. I use it in cereal and oatmeal but that's about it.
