  1. I'm obsessed with Greek yogurt. I could eat 2 or 3 a day. In your experiences/opinions, how much is too much? Or is there not too much ?
  2. Thanks, just not sure what I should be at for calories at this point, 5 1/2 months

    Another sex issue. *sigh*

I did it! It was a little awkward, I have to learn what I'm doing. Only done it a couple times before. But I'm glad I did it. And the bf was very happy!

    New Food For Post Ops...

Can you send it to me too? Pookybear610@gmail.com Thanks!
  5. It makes sense, but it doesn't work that way, actually. You need to consume a certain amount of calories for your body to produce enough energy to burn fat. Also if your calorie intake is too low it will put your body into starvation mode, which will make it preserve fat. So I know it sounds kinda messed up, but consuming more calories (or more accurately, the correct range of calories) will make you lose MORE weight.

    Peanut butter

Yes, I love frozen bananas with a little peanut butter. Good replacement snack for ice cream.

    Post-op Physical Restrictions

I drove myself to my one week appointment. It mainly depends on if you're taking the pain meds or not. I wasn't, so I could drive. I haven't really traveled yet but I felt well enough to after about 2 weeks. Had sex the night of my one week appointment....that was a big day for me LOL I was told I could do light duty cleaning after 2 weeks (no lifting/stretching/straining), and everything after one month. Everyone is different. Listen to your body. If you're feeling good, try something...but try it cautiously and be prepared to stop if it feels uncomfortable.

    Tough time working out

I have a really hard time getting to the gym. It's SO far away from my house and just costs too much money in gas. I try to go on weekends with my boyfriend to the one lower to him. During the week I haven't been getting much of anything in. I've started walking on my breaks at work. Just not sure how I should do it. It's .6 miles to walk around the building twice, which I can do on my 15 minute break. I get 2 breaks a day. Or I could walk around the building 4 times nonstop on my 30 minute lunch. Not sure which would be better or worse, splitting it up or continuous. I've heard mixed things. Also going to start trying some crunches at home.

    How about some NSVs!?!?

Went to the water park today and I didn't feel like the biggest person there! I even went down 2 slides, though I don't think I'll be doing THAT again LOL...I'll stick with the wave pool and the lazy river.
  12. Ok! 5 months out...approx 100lbs down

    Vomiting

I was told the same but you'd have to be able to REALLY mash it with a fork (like cooked soft apples, for instance). It needs to be able to fit through an opening the size of a small straw. I was told if I can't chew it pretty much to liquid it needs to be puréed. Hopefully puréeing helps!

    Mirena?

Just be careful with the pill. We have absorbency issues with the pouch and I know many surgeons do not recommend the pill because of that. It's very iffy.

    Mirena?

I wasn't comfortable with having a foreign object implanted in me anywhere. I decided to go with Nuvaring and I can remove it at any time. I'm very happy with it. But everyone is different, that's why there are so many choices.

    What ya eating tonight?

Steak is also a better cut of meat so it's more tender and easier to break down than hamburg. I'm 5 1/2 months and I still have an issue with ground hamburg.
