Thanks guys. Short answers, but the reassurance in weightloss really helps. Thankyou both sooooo much.

My DOS was 12/11/12. I had lost 80lbs and regained 4lbs a few weeks ago. Since then I've been spiraling downward. I want to get back on track, but don't know where to start. My hubby doesn't really offer any support, which only makes things worse for me. I'd like to lose another 30 lbs, but have lost all motivation. Please if anyone can offer me some advice I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I agree. Love him. He did mine 12-11-12. I'm down 80 lbs!!!! -
Don't want to offend you, but I also believe your eating way too much. I'm 11 weeks out and still on liquids, but that pic of your plate of food seems outrageous for someone who just had surgery. You should seriously consider cutting back and limiting carb intake. Like so many have already said, WLS is JUST a tool, you have to "work" with it, not assume its just going to magically make you drop the weight. Keep trying, believe me the weight will come off, just don't give up on it.

I had surgery Dec. 11, and am amazed at how different each doctor is. I am still on liquids and can't imagine eating as much as some of you guys since I'm lucky if I can get 2-3 oz of liquids every 30 min. Either way good job to all you "losers", it feels great dropping all the weight right? Since surgery I'm down 74 lbs. Can't wait till i can have "adult" food. :/ -

I was finally allowed to eat pasta this week, and I had some for lunch, but I don't know if I ate too fast or didn't chew it enough, all I know is I've had really bad pain at the mouth of my pouch (stomach), any ideas of what can cause this?

Um guys, I'm 9 weeks out and still on liquids. Its not easy nor fun, but look at the big picture--at the end it will all be sooooo worth it, just relax and before u know it the "chewing" stage will come. -

Yeah me and protein don't seem to get along. Doc really isn't pushing too hard on it until I can tolerate it since I've had all these issues. I feel like I'm constantly forcing myself to eat and have noticed a horrid taste/odor in my mouth. But I too am glad that all my issues are behind me now. Thanks and the best to you guys!!! -

Miss impatient, well 1 wk out they thought I had a stricture, after being admitted to the hospital and waiting for 2 wks, they decided to operate again and found it wasn't a stricture, but a kink in my intestine. After that I went in again for pain and nausea and was there 4 days for swelling in the intestine that was blocking liquids from emptying out of my pouch. I have been home a week now, and so far so good. How has ur experience been? -

Hello, new here. Had surgery 12-11-12. Have been in & out of hospital but have lost 54lbs to date. Every day is a struggle for me, but finally I feel like things might be looking better. Hopefully if I don't end up in hospital I can start purees in 2 weeks. Yay for me =)!!!! -
emotional and upset

May I ask what type of pain ur having? I had this horrible pain in my pouch 1 wk after surgery. They originally thought it was a stricture and that they'd have to redo my 2 connection, but once they opened me up it wasn't that there was a kink in my intestine. Yesterday the pain came back, so I'm back at the hospital. Dr thinks its swelling in my intestine, so I'll be NPO for two days and then we'll try "food" again. Its no fun, but ur better off in a hospital than suffering @ home. If he's a good doc, he should care more about his patients well-being than his own free time. Hope u feel better, I know its no fun. -
maybe another stricture

IDK, I have been asking myself the same thing. Either way I hope you get better soon. And thanks for the info, somehow it made me feel a bit better knowing I'm not weird by having all these issues. -
maybe another stricture

Ugh, sorry to hear that. I had surgery on the 11th, had been fine and started with horrible pain and vomiting on the 20th. Been hospitalized since. They found the block, but plan to wait 5 more days of nothing by mouth before considering dilation. I guess dr knows best, but I'm quite sick of being in the hospital, especially since as long as I don't eat I feel fine. Hope you have a quick recovery. Thanks. -
maybe another stricture

When did they find the first stricture and how long did they wait before opening it?
