Not sure if this helps due to the fact that I haven't started my liquid diet yet but one of my friends that had surgery over a year ago said to chew on ice thru out the day to cure wanting to chew on something. Best of luck to you all!

Hi all! I am new to this forum. I stumbled upon it while looking at other stuff. So happy to find others going through the same thing as I. My mother & I are having bypass surgery on Jan. 7th. We have to start the liquid diet 5 days before surgery...any good suggestions on things other than protein shakes & broths?

Surgery date is set for Jan. 7th. I have 1 more appt this week with heart doctor & a EGD scope a couple days after Christmas, fingers crossed I pass both appointments. Best of luck to you, I will add you to my prayer list.

Hi ladies, I'm new to this app so I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly. My surgery is Jan. 7th and I start my liquid diet 5 days before. Any good ideas on things I may eat?
